Just wonder this. I get the idea that the antibiotics only hold it down or pause the infection. Anyone heard of a, "Yeah i beat it fully"? Thanks :)

I met someone a few months ago in my city - and she had taken antibiotics for approx. 6 months. She finished them May, and is still symptom free.
My PCP also prescribed antibiotics for a patient..who is symptom free after many months of antibiotcs...that was a few years ago.

There are some forum members, who also have - Traveler, Chapelle, are two I can think of off the top of my head.

Whether it's a cure...or remission...they are symptom free.

One antibiotic used long term may not, unless its IV Rocephin, and even then I would reccommend at least a month of Zithromax or Biaxin with Flagyl or Tindamax after.

Spirochete conversion to L-form has been documented in vitro, after 4 hours of exposure to Rocephin, if it wasn't killed. It could also take cyst form.

I've heard of many who were "cured" after long term use of the proper courses of multiple combination antibiotics, especially when they're doing the right things to go along with it (i.e. detox regimens, proper exercise[weight

training every other day, no aerobic exercise, due to consequent T-cell drop],
Lyme-friendly diet, vit's, herbs and supp's). Following through with those things after the ABX will allow you to sustain a long term remission or "cure".

Rotation of several continuous courses of variated multiple ABX combos, graded toward different Burgdorferi forms (such as doxycycline for the

spirochete form, Tindamax for cyst form, Zithromax for L-form or cell wall deficient spheroplast form, and Xylitol/Lactoferrin for bio-films)specialized

to your specific conditions and co-infections will help to ensure the success.

Hi James,
I'm one that found complete healing, although I did get reinfected again so I'm now back in treatment. So count me in as a success story and I'll soon be able able to say that I've beat it twice! :-)

I have heard stories from 4 local people who completely beat it and remain symptom free. So it can be done!

Thanks for all information. I wonder if the cyphilis spirochete also can change form? Have done a blood test for that last week. AND i wonder why that spirochete can be found in blood test and borrelia burgdorferi not?? They look really alike.

2 of them did orals for 2-4 yrs
1 caught it early and did orals a few months
1 did IVs twice. Did IV once, it came back, had to do IV longer.

I know of two people in real life that beat it. One from 20 yrs ago (he found one of the first few lyme Drs back then), and one thats going on a couple years.

But its nice to see it here. They post, and it gets lost in history.
