Desperately need a specialist! Please Help!

Good Afternoon All,

Having had an unsuccessful course of oral antibiotics, I have been referred by my GP to an "infectious and tropical diseases" specialist. However, the NHS waiting time is horrendous and I have private healthcare available to me.

I have trawled the internet for a solution but can't seem to find a LLMD in Bristol, UK anywhere!

Can someone help me with this? My GP has confessed that she has NEVER treated a Lyme patient before and is therefore not much help..

Does anyone know a consultant in Bristol that could help me out?

Hi there, I'm in the UK too . . . unfortunately there really are very few options for us here as far as I can tell . . . I am being treated at the only specialist clinic that I know of, near London. It's not ideal as is a 10-hour round trip for me, but would be a bit closer for you. It is not cheap, but they do treat a lot of lyme - not sure if your private health insurance would cover it or not :-/. I don't think I'm allowed to mention the name here, but if you can understand my code, it is Dr M at the BS clinic . . . I can send you a private msg if this doesn't make any sense! ;-)

I think I know your code but can you email me to confirm? I'm not able to email you, don't think you have it enabled?

Also, can you share your experience of it when you email? I'm seeing a lot "mixed reports". I just want to see someone who knows what Lyme is, its affects and how I can get rid of it... it's driving me crazy!
