Hello!

I got a problem, i fell much better when it comes to all symptoms...but my atrophy/feeling of atrophy has worsen, i feel my bones when i sit for example. The face musculatur is regenerating though and even my mother can see the difference. What could cause this?

I'm three weeks into treatment, is this supposed to happen?

My treatment plan:

First week - amoxicillin 8x500mg a day.
Second week - minocycline 2x100mg a day.
Third week - minocycline 2x100 mg
Fourth week - minocycline 2x100 mg daily and tinidazole 2x500mg Taking one day, break one day
Fifth week - minocycline 2x100 mg daily and tinidazole 2x500mg Taking one day, break one day
Sixth week - minocycline 2x100 mg daily and tinidazole 2x500mg Taking one day, break one day
Seventh week - minocycline 2x100 mg daily and tinidazole 2x500mg Taking one day, break one day
Eight week - minocycline 2x100 mg daily and tinidazole 2x500mg 7 days in a row to finish off the disease

I'm taking tinidazole 2x500 every second day at the moment, started december 23

So, some of your symptoms did clear up? You feel that you have muscle weakness, or wasting?

Are you working with a LLMD?

Thank you both!

I guess it is the lyme, because affected parts of the body ( Feet, butt ) are the same as before any antibiotic treatment. So i guess it wandered to a sweet spot in the biggest muscle of the body. Can't neither see any atrophy or feel it, just feel it standing/sitting. I maybe lost 1 kg since the start of this treatment and I think that atrophy that gives huge symptoms supposed to be gigantic.

My daughter suffered a lot of muscular atrophy when she was sick. Don't worry though, it can all be rebuilt when you become well again. Heather was a skeleton at one point, but she is very well built and muscular now.

Thank you for the response, Don!

The atrophy became better and I finally realized that tinidazole caused feeling of atrophy problems by interacting with the peripheral nervous system which was already demyelinated. I started taking it everyday instead of every other day now to keep up the higher level in CNS and eventually desolve the cysts. Anyhow, my treatment is progressing and the symptoms started worsening after tem days on tinidazole which I consider a herx.

As expected I'm starting to experience relapsing cognitive, neurological and psychic symptoms. Difficulties comprehending information and analytical abilities are significantly lowered in comparison to beginning of the previous week.
