Tincture doses: Count drops, or measure?

What's the best way?

on Buhner's website - it states 1/4 tsp.
I am counting out 25 drops each time... - when it's measured - it's almost 1/2 tsp.
Should i not be doing that much? Is 1/4 tsp the max dose? I'm not herxing on the 25 drops.

Hi Girlie,

The first time I did 30 drops I watched where the line was on the tincture bottle. For me, using the smaller bottles, about 1/2 dropper was 30 drops. For me that was close enough. Not as accurate as it could be but ends up saving a lot of time. I noticed when I went drop by drop slowly, the drops were definitely larger so I thought doing it all at once might be better.

I like counting out the drops. Right now my son is on 20 drops of JK, CC, CNA combo, Eleutero and 10 drops of Houttyunia. This way if I increase anything I can notice changes. Had him doing 13 drops of Houttyunia and saw some negative things so I backed it down to 10. It just seems to be a little easier to keep track.

I think it depends on how sensitive you are to each product. I would encourage you to start off by counting drops until you find out how sensitive you are to it - that way it will be easier to back down - like SFLP said. Once you know how you tolerate it, then I would go to just measuring it out. That's what I do with my tinctures now - "looks about right!" and swallow! LOL!
