Ok I was dx 5 yrs with lymes and I know I still have issues from it. I'm an army vet and I'm woundering other ticks are there othere insects that's cause this ie sand flies. I'm currently 0 % which is better then nothing because at least they have to do something but they won't. I asked for tighter test they refused. What other test can be done. This just 1 of my many issues. But the military never treated it othe then anti biotics and would not listen to the id doc

Yes, there are other insects that can carry it. Not just ticks. Not sure about sand flies.

Please check out the New to Lyme thread! If you're needing a new test done, you should look into getting the Igenex Western Blot test done.

I agree. You need to see a Lyme Literate Doctor. Not an Infectious Disease Doc. If you need help finding one, just start a new post saying....
"Need an LLMD in ______ area."

You need an Igenex test for Lyme. They cost $200 out of pocket.

Essentially, any insect that can bite, draw blood and bite again can pass these infections - so yes, sand flies can pass these infections.
