That is a good question. I know fleas can carry bartonella but I have never heard of them carrying lyme, could be. You can look up a lot about how to holistically treat lyme. Supplements that seem to be a part of most lyme protocols are vitamin d 3 (5000ius), magnesium, fish oil and tummeric or curcumin for inflammation. There are tons of supplements though and I'm sure you could start a post on here and get tons of suggestions. Also, anti inflammatory diet and overall healthy diet is very important to help the immune system. Then there are these things, I don't now exactly how to explain them but my doc said it's kinda like a natural antibiotic. The first ones I used are Banderol and samento from nutramedix and it has helped a lot of people with lyme. It definitely works for me in killing lyme. You start with low doses like a drop a day or something, put it in a little water. You can work up to 20 or so drops a couple times a day. They can definitely make people herx so you have to be careful. I've also used the Byron white products which are also similar to nutramedix as they are tinctures I believe but they are more expensive, still nothing compared to antibiotics. You llmd may know about these but maybe not if they aren't into naturalpathic medicine. Stay positive about this next appointment. This next id doc may be totally different. My id doc is really nice and has never given me a hard time or been arrogant. She has acknowledged that the illads has one way or treating lyme and CDC had another and that overall there needs to be much more research and information on lyme so that someone like me can make a decision or get the best treatment. It's not necessarily the id docs fault every time, most of them have guidelines that they must follow for illnesses. Did your lyme test come back igg positive or just some of the bands?
My Igg was negative eventhough I had a IND 31, IND 39, and +41..IGenex suggests it shows clinical significance and I should retest in 3 to4 weeks. I think my immune system is weak since I'm always sick. But my test results was enough to convince my LLMD that I have Lyme.
