Has anyone had experiences with splinter hemorrhages? I first noticed them back in Oct 2014. I didn't think too much about
about
it and went on. Yesterday I had my
reading glasses on
and notice I still have them. Seven out of 10 nails are affected.
I looked it up on the net, and of course, it's all gloom and doom. Could it be caused by Bart or Babs? Is there another explanation besides heart issues?
I called my LLND today for a question regarding a tincture and also asked about
my nails. The receptionist called back soon after telling me the Dr wanted to speak with me about
it. I set up the phone consult but he called my cell instead of my home number. My cell lives in my car, I wasn't in my car.
Now I must admit, I don't have the nicest looking nails on the planet. They peel, have ridges, dents and flat spots, they also curve under when they start to grow out. I know what your thinking and yes I have turned down tons of hand modeling jobs:)

I have some ridges and once a nail flattened out but then it went back to normal. Don't notices splinter hemorrhages.

I don't want to sound too stupid
, but I always wondered how it was called!
Please keep us posted on what your doctor told you about
them. I have had them for many years, coming and going and was always wondering what they were.
Thank you!

Revive, nice to know they will return to normal.
Marie, I had to look up images for splinter under nails to learn what it's called.
I spoke with my LLND this morning. He wants me to be admitted to the hospital for endocarditis.
That's not happening today. My husband is traveling and my kids will be home from school at 3:00. I'll go tomorrow. The LLND also said this could be why I'm not improving.

Wow, mom of 2, what are your symptoms? Hubby is always complaining his chest hurts all the time. He's been to Cardio doc but before we knew he had Lyme also.
Hope you'll be ok, keep us posted.

I thought this was all lyme and company. The symptoms I have are, mild chest pain, palpitations, pain in left arm, intermittent shortness of breath, intermittent muscle weakness, sweating and of course the splinter hemorrhages. As you can see, it's all the same symptoms lyme have.
I did a little digging today, there are other possibilities that are a lot less scary than endocarditis.
I'm sure everything will come back normal, this has to be another wonderful facet of lyme.
Thanks for the well wishes:)

My husband complains of his chest pain every time he sees the doctor but he doesn't say anything. But like I said been to cardio doctor who discovered he had left bundle block.
I won't have internet here for 5 days or so unless we go out from our cabin, so might not be responding .
