My husband's recent Igenex WB test came back IgM IND. He had two + bands on 18, one + on band 31 and band 41.
He had IND on band 34, 39, 83-93.

So, the criteria for an Igenex positive - would be to have his band 34 or 39 be a + instead of IND.

So, they are now doing an epitope test on band 31, as it can cross -react with some viruses...so this extra test is more specific I think???


But, I'm thinking we should be treating him no matter what the outcome of the epitope is.

Has anyone had this test done? And what were your results?

I'm tired of antibody tests. I got the igenx and they said I was lyme positive. I had IgM 31 and 41.

I did treatment and only got water sensations, burning and other stuff as a new condition I now get all over my body.

I would suggest you try antigen and DNA tests. There is a new antigen test coming out this year developed by GMU and Ceres Nano called the nano-trap antigen test for ospA.

There is also a pathologist Dr. Lee's low temperature nested PCR DNA test from Milford Hospital.

For Bartonella there is a cultured PCR DNA test from Galaxy labs.

If you really want to get tested I would try those, but if you test positive I can't say for sure what that means you should do.

You may still need to wait for a cure supposing there really is an infection.

That's the crappy part, I've thought about it too... I can get tested by Igenex, get a positive result for lyme & company, and still not know how to kill this stuff. :(

My epitode test was negative. Your husband has so many Lyme specific bands that in my opinion he sure seems to have lyme. I would start treatment.

Did IGENEX change their criteria? My only positive band was 31 and it was considered positive.

Louise - When I did my Igenex test - last June - the criteria for Igenex was positive bands on two in either list 1 or list 2.

When my husband recently tested, it was two or more bands present in 23-25, 31, 34, 39, 41, 83-93.

Exception: Negative: If only bands 41 and 83-93 are present.
Indeterminate: If only bands 31 and 41 or 31 and 93 are present.

He had 18 ++ 31 + 41 + and IND on 34, 39, and 83-93. So, he was Igenex Indeterminate.
