Bigger pupils?

Does anyone have one eye where the pupil is bigger than the other? I only noticed this about seven months ago. I asked my eye dr about it when I went in for my yearly check up and he said "you aren't going to die from it" but gave me no further explanation. Does anyone else have this?

I do I do!! Anisocoria. I got it after what I like to call a suicide headache. After my pupils were different sizes for months and other people started noticing too I knew I had to get some help.

My llnd blames it bartonella. I'd love more information too!! Never been able to figure this one out.. This is kind of sick but I'm happy to not be the only one!

Yes I also have it and it never resolved. Adie's pupil and they do not dilate together. Usually denotes underlying neuro disorder. I mentioned it to the llmd and he has seen it in patients. And the non llmd will totally ignore it. Dont waste your time asking.

Shew thanks for making feel I'm not alone! Ironically my boyfriend at the time who was a surgery resident noticed it. He had been in trauma rotations the month he noticed and said that's one of the first things they check in patients. At least he was good for something lol. Bartonella though..interesting.

The Bartonella - Anisocoria connection is seen in animals (mainly dogs from what I can see), but it's not documented in humans so much - but that can be just from no one doing a study on it for doctors to be noting it.

i had a pupil which was bigger for years. My husband used to notice it all the time. He said it's much better since I've been on a natural protocol, so it will get better!

Doesn't suprise me that it's bart.

What is the abx for Bartonella? I've been a a rainbow of them and I believe she hit on that one but just curious.

Not on it but I think Rifampin hits bart. Also Doxycycline and erythromycin and some forms of pencillin.
