My husband wants to go camping with the warmer weather almost here. This will mean sleeping in an old shed in sleeping bags in the middle of Wis.
My LD is so much better and I don't want to chance another infected tick bite.

What should I do?

There have been some treads talking about repellants if that would give you peace of mind. You might ask your doctor to see what he has to say about it. I don't blame you for being uneasy. Good luck!

Hi Sueg,

I don't blame you one bit for being nervous.

Some people spray their camping gear and clothes with repellant.

It might be a good idea to bring a magnifying glass for thorough tick checks, wear light colors, long pants, etc.

If you're currently on abx, I would think a tick bite would not effect you. The abx should kill the pathogen as soon as it enters the body. Heck, you might even sterilize the tick. Just my fuzzy way of thinking.

If your not on ABX-

Look up Repel brand spray. Most sp gds stores stock it. Repel has 2 types one for skin, one for cloths with Permetherin. I know people freak about chemicals, but these work.

There is the Misty Mountain herbs tick defense tea. Look up on their web site.

Remember North west Ws has a lot of deer ticks and lyme. You know its bad when the counties have this on there own websites. April to June are worse.

My older son is starting ADP Protocol (got it at iherb.com) and he will take one morning, one night with 50 billion parts probiotic midday.

LLMD says since he has no symptoms, he should do 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off a month.

It is antibacterial, antiparasitic, and antiviral, so you may want to try the protocol before and after the trip and it should keep you safe and kill anything that attempts to get you!

Something to consider at least . My son likes camping too and I worry....

I tried goggling ADP Protocol at iherb.com. No such luck..? What is the manufacture- just ADP?

Oh, sorry, it's Biotics Research Corporation, ADP Protocol . You can buy it from a few places, I found that one, but there was no discount on it, I ordered a couple of other things along with it and got discounts on them... just thought I'd cash in on reaching the level for free shipping.
