No apologies necessary, believe me, I understand!!
I would suggest that you hold off on any Lyme treatment just yet, until you can get your symptoms under a little better control. You should also increase what you do for detoxing, and build up so that you are doing everything daily. You can add in oil pulling, and using binders like activated charcoal for a couple of suggestions.
You mentioned adrenal fatigue, are you assuming that you have it or have you been tested yet? Knowing where you stand with your adrenals is a good thing - and like you have discovered, Lyme can often be the reason why we get Hashi's and it will often resolve once the Lyme is treated. I know mine did.
Being "on edge" like that is a sign of possible adrenal issues too, in case you didn't already realize that. Do you have a doc that will work with you? Someone that might give you something for anxiety to help you sleep? Sleep meds themselves are often not a good idea for us, as they don't really help much and have their side effects and risk of addiction. If you wish to or need to go with only natural/herbal things, we can offer you suggestions of things that you can try - I would say right now though that you should stay away from valerian right now, as it causes night mares and more vivid dreams for many. You may be able to use it later, but for now, it would likely be best for you to just avoid it.
The teeth chattering & shaking is what's got my attention, as I went through the same thing when I had Lyme. I would literally "bounce" my way right off of any chair, couch, bed or exam table. It also freaked out a lot of doctors!! LOL! Unfortunately, I'm not real sure what causes that though, but I know that once I healed from Lyme the first time, it stopped that as well.
In my opinion, it's always best to get the body detoxing decently before we try to kill more bacteria which only adds more toxins to our already over loaded body. So if you will take the time to really work hard on detoxing, you can begin to determine what protocol you wish to use to treat the infections soon!
And keep the questions coming!! That's what we are here for, to help and to get help!
