Little late, but have been dealing with some low electrolytes stuff as well.
I was recently hospitalized for having too little (sodium, potassium, magnesium, and protein briefly). My sodium level was 113 - normal's around 135 - 140. I do not recall the numbers for the other minerals, but they were definitely low. I should add that the sodium took the longest to come back.
The cause? Too much water intake as well as poor diet, and they considered that maybe I couldn't absorb my proteins as well, 'cause.. yeah, despite eating a ton of protein, my level was still low the first couple days.
A few days of limited intake (1500ml or 1.5 L), and, not sure how much they helped, but thiamine, vitamin b12, and multivitamin (w/ minerals), and it's back up to 134.
A few of the doctors mentioned that some of the herbals and supplements could have had an impact - tinctures meant for detoxing as well as a binder, which makes sense. They are meant to push stuff out of you.
I mean, I can't stop them. I need to drink too. But, definitely going to be monitoring how much I'm taking in. 2 liters seems like too little, when you gotta detox and stuff, but I don't feel like going through all of that again.
I asked a few doctors if something like sodium tablets would help, but was told that it's really just a matter of your body being able to absorb sodium, the proper organs working as well as the sodium not being flushed out of you too quickly.
Anyway, after coming home, finally starting my treatment again, I feel better in some ways, but meh in others. I feel weaker. I don't know why. If it is herxing, or what.
Lots of issues with treatment I need to get sorted out.
Nvm that though.
Just I thought I would share. Good luck..
