LLMD called - Igenex results are in early

So it's official. My LLMD said I have Lyme disease.

My bands that tested positive are:
Band 31 ++
Band 41 ++
Band 58 +
Band 39 IND (he said it's basically a positive)
Band 83 IND (same as above)
Band 93 IND (same as above)

He wanted me to come into his office this weekend but I work for a major company and couldn't break away. I'm supposed to drive to IN on 5/9 to see him.

I'm in shock right now.. I'm relieved but scared, very scared.

What do I do now? I'm so overwhelmed with detoxing protocols and herbal supplements and antibiotics.. My head is spinning (worse than it already does).

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Now you have an answer and can stop spinning wheels with other tests and doctors. I understand how you feel. Before I got my results, I really thought I had Bartonella. Lyme was kind of a second consideration. When I got my results, I went into shock for about 3 or 4 weeks until it sunk in. Eventually, it does.

Try not to be overwhelmed. Start one new thing and take one step at a time. You will get there! Continue to slowly build your detox regimen. Then, you can slowly start adding meds. I always add one new med at a time until I stabilize. If I have an issue, it is so much easier to figure out what caused it. It also helps to minimize herxing as much as possible.

Hang in there. Ask lots of questions. We're here to help you through this!

Yes, I'm going to focus on detoxing and getting ready for this fight. Ironically, yesterday was my 25th birthday. So I have a peace of mind now as a late present I guess.

I hope as I go through this journey, you guys won't get annoyed or frustrated with me. I might ask a lot of questions because all of this is very new and overwhelming to me.

Never!!! We are here to help you through this journey!! The one thing that I can say for sure is information is power with these infections, so ask away!!

Just remember that everything you start needs to be started slowly and at low doses. It's one step forward and two steps back at times, but usually just in the beginning of treatments - and we're here for you!

And, congratulations!! You're a Lymie!! LOL! So now you know what direction to head in with your healing. That's a wonderful birthday gift, if I do say so!

Yes. Happy Birthday
It can be for sure, overwhelming When I was told I had Lyme
eight years ago, I just smiled. I'd never heard the word. Hard to believe
but that was the case. I was just relieved because I'd spent over ten years
bouncing about with all these symptoms and no 'name'.
As far as the overwhelm. My doctor worked in stages. I don't
know if they all do this. He wanted to treat 'one layer' at a time. He
pretty much still does this. It all worked for me and some of it was
trial and error. Everybody responds differently to different things.
If this makes you feel any better.
At that time, I didn't know of internet groups or even support
groups. I was pretty much on my own with all this info for several years.
Now. Knowing that other people are there for me and hopefully
vice versa, makes a big difference.

Traveler - thank you! Slow and steady wins the race!! I'm ready to begin my healing & look forward to enjoyin life again.

Dancing dawn - thank you!! I can't imagine going through all of this alone. Even tho I just started on this site, I feel such a sense of relief and support. I'm looking forward to seeing what my LLMD has in store for me.

Make sure you get a copy of the results to bring to any other docotor you see.

Alyrose- Congrats on finally having answers! No doubt it can be scary, but now you can move forward and let the healing begin. You have already done so much to get started, like joining this forum, researching, and detoxing...you will whip this, I have no doubts :)

Lymie mom x2 - Thank you! I'm ready to begin my healing. Surprisingly my family has been so supportive and willing to help with anything I need. So, I feel grateful for that. I'm also grateful for all of the kind words and advice everyone has given me on this site. It really really makes a difference and I hope you guys know that.

Happyjo - I hope that me being only 25 and for the most part healthy before all of this will help in my recovery. & I sure HOPE next years bday is better. This one I spent in bed!!!! :( :(

UPDATE! I'm going to see my LLMD on this saturday 5/2 instead of 5/9. I'm scared, nervous, anxious and every other emotion right now. Thankfully, my dad is coming with me so at least I won't have to go through the 3 hour appointment alone.

I hope your appointment goes well Alyrose. Try not to be nervous. Most often people find it very refreshing to see LLMD's who provide empathy and understanding for what we're going through. It will be okay. You'll get started on your treatment, which is great. Let us know how it goes. Happy Belated Birthday!

Yay!! Be sure to update us when you can!! And try to relax - have your Dad in the room with you as much as you can - an extra set of ears to hear all the information that you will be given will be helpful - and a notepad!!!
