Rulling out lyme disease

I was just wondering if there was anyone on here that thought/considered they had lyne disease and ruled it put or simply came to any terms that they didnt have it?

I have GAD/Panic disorder and was just wondering as to anyone who has definitely for certain ruled it out.

All the stories on here seem to be more wired to the fact that they for sure have it just wondering the other side of the story.

Its funny how doctors treat people these days especially Gps. Ive considered Lyme disease alot mainly because of my vision such as eye floaters and visual disturbances i just kind of look twice at things sometimes to actually see whats there.


After talking to alot of people ive kind of come to the realization that most normal people have the same things going on with me and they'rthey're nore of just everyday complaints than really symptoms.

Also, keep in mind that there are hundreds of strains of Borrelia. The best lab, IGENEX, only tests for a few. Most labs only test for a single strain. That combined with lowered immune function, a primary reason for lots of false negatives, is the reason that Lyme is a clinical diagnosis. It is the same with co-infections.

A negative test result does not mean a person does not have Lyme or co-infections. You have to look at symptoms. There is no way of getting around this.

If you're symptomatic, it is best to get to an LLMD. Bartonella is well known for causing visual issues, especially odd visual issues. If it comes down to minor floaters, that may or may not be Lyme and co. If you're having additional visual problems or disturbances, I would suggest seeing an LLMD. There could be a neurological reason for having to do double takes as well.

Thankyou for the reply much helpful and ya alot of the eye disturbances (not blurry, or double vision) are things people have said are lyme symptoms (after image, floaters, static vision)

Im curious about the parallels of the symptoms of mine but honestly im kind of scared to go to a LLMD just because nost people ive talked to on here have never really said anything on the lines of rulli.g out Lyme.

I dont wanna start a regiment of weird herbs and tonics and mo.ey just to be wasting my time and money. But there's also thr reassurances and just peace of mind that also come with it.

No i have not been tested for it can a normal GP or specialist order a test?

And thereis literally one LLMD that i havefound in the jacksonville area but i guess it wouldn't hurt to look into it.

Tha.kyou for all the help and again i uave to say my symptoms are only reallynoticeable or slightly annoying, im not suffering like nost people say crom these. They arejust enough for me to notice and kind of dwell on why they are happening.

I have a ear, nose, and throat doctor and im gunna make a neoroligist appointment soon i think thats a hood start.

Matt, neither an ENT nor a neurologist will be able to help you if you have Lyme.

I had negative igenix test but i had a positive iGg for bartonella by md labs in new jersey i suffer from depression and anxiety,panic ,fatigue,insomnia, but i knew deep.down it was not depression anxiety but something else glad i found a llmd because i also had internal shaking tremors sorry but depression does not to that to a person involuntary movements out of my sleep,blurred vision,cognitive functioning off so i am glad i found out what it really is bartonella even though no.positive for lyme just coinfections.but it could still just be coming back as false negetive for lyme from.igenix hope that helps a little

Definitely start with a Western Blot from IGENEX. You can call and order a kit from them for free. The test costs about $200. Any doctor can sign off on the test. Their phone is 800.832.3200.

It is hard to say for sure because co-infections testing is difficult. However, sometimes a person will test positive for a co-infection, such as Bartonella, and not Lyme because the immune system is very suppressed. Based on your symptoms, you might consider getting tested for Bartonella. The lab you chose would probably depend on the costs and how much you can afford. Galaxy Labs and Fry Labs are supposed to be good for Bartonella. IGENEX also tests for Bart. You can do some research on your options. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.

Only an LLMD will be able to diagnose you. You could have other co-infections. I know more about Bartonella and Babesia because I'm treating those. It would be a good idea to see an LLMD because you won't be able to rule out Lyme and Co-Infections based on negative tests.
