Doctor wants entire family tested

I was diagnosed with Lyme about a month ago. We lived for a year in the northeast. My OB who has seen this disease cause infertility in me after 4 healthy kids would like our entire family to be tested. One of my daughters is sore in the hips now and the other daughter did have a tick in her scalp while we lived there. I am taking the one who is sore to my LLMD, but it is pricey. Our insurance will cover her test, but will not cover the test in the rest of the family unless they have symptoms or if the test is positive. Do you think it would be worth it to take the daughter who had the tick in her head to get a normal blood test from her pediatrician? Or should I wait until I can afford to take her to the LLMD or until she has symptoms? My younger kids (they were 3 and a baby when we lived there) and my husband don't have any symptoms, so I am not sure which route to go. Advice?

I guess I don't know what I mean by "normal" blood test, maybe just whatever test the pediatrician has to offer. My LLMD does a special test which searches for hidden bacteria, which he did because I have fibromyalgia

I had all 4 of my kids tested at the request of my doctor. Thank god all for cane back negative but the pediatrician said he would retest in 3 months to make sure. Both Lyme screening and western blot came back fine.
