Igenix Test results Finally back..any help

Hi I just received my Igenix test results back.
My GP doctor seemed to think the HGA panel was questionable enough to go see a specialist. I made an appointment with my LLMD. Hopefully I can get on track with some answers. Any opinions if I have Lyme my appointment is not until June

IGM RESULT

31, 39 IND, 41 ++. The rest -

IGG RESULT all -

HGA PANEL IgM of 40 and IgG - 80 ( Says positive results if at 40)

ANA positive twice
Had a positive RMSF come back twice on IGG testing.
Doctors seemed to have dismissed this as nothing though.

I have had lyme symptoms for over a year my GI track is not working properly. Sensitive to just about everything I eat. Lost around 30 pounds

Any kind of sugar makes me have bad neurological symptoms.

I find only certain foods don't bother me at this point.
Any help is much appreciated!!

Hi Fred - Welcome to the forum!

I think the HGA is ehrichliosis...which often comes with lyme disease. The good new is, lyme is often treated with either doxycycline or minocycline and that will often treat the ehrichliosis,as well.

Based on your results...I would advise you to see LLMD
Only a LL (Lyme Literate) Doctor can properly evaluate and treat you for these tick-borne diseases.

To find a LLMD - start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in NY or Long Island" .

Then, you will need to enable your email option - we aren't allowed to post Doctors names on the forum (for privacy reasons).

Thanks. Sorry about that but feel excited now about going there. I spoke with a herbal doctor that I was going too for a while back I was in bad shape. He got me gluten free, sugar free, dairy, Caffine free. Once I did that my head body felt so much better. I was able to return to work. Now he said he can treat Lyme but it sounds like it is new to him. They can give me Iv drips of vitamin c and colonial silver but no antibiotics. Just herbal stuff. But I can probably start next week rather then wait to see the removed doctor above in the city at the end of June. Do you think I should wait or start right away with the somewhat knowledgable doctor. Appreciate your thoughts.. Thanks

I would agree with Girlie - it's your choice about what to do while you wait for your appt with the LLMD - but I would stick to using someone that isn't just starting out. There is a whole lot to learn in treating these infections and you want someone that knows what it means when you plateau and what to do about it.

It's wonderful that you have already done a lot of the work in getting your diet in a good place!

What about detoxing? Are you doing much to detox? We have some great suggestions in the "New to Lyme?" thread, and feel free to ask any questions you may have about detoxing or anything else related to these infections.
