My blood test for the western blot in July of 2014 was negative for Lyme but he IgM p23 band was present. If I take an Igenex blood test now, what should I expect to see? Like will any IgM or IgG bands show up, or is it too late to get any solid information through a blood test?

It's hard to tell what kind of information you may or may not get from doing a blood test now. Usually, those that wait longer to get tested have less of a chance of a positive Lyme test, although some can bring out a good test result by using abx or other anti-infective treatments for 6 weeks first. This allows the bacterial load to be reduced enough for the immune system to be able to respond and produce those antibodies that are needed for a positive test.

Okay because I'm hopefully taking an Igenex blood test sometime this week and then going to see an LLMD for my symptoms

I did get an Igenex positive 15 months after symptoms started, but as Traveler said it's hard to tell what information you get.

I guess it depends on how important getting a positive test is. If it's important, then it might be worth the money to try and get that positive test.

Otherwise...don't bother. It's not necessary for the LLMD to evaluate you. With LLMD's it's a clinical diagnosis and you did have a positive band.

I guess I don't necessarily need a positive test, I just need some of the bands to show up as present.
