Haven't been on for awhile. Got more tests done, more doctors, MRI etc., all negative. Family member was treated for lyme a year ago and the blood work was tested at Igenex Lab in Ca. I am here in south jersey so I was going to find a doctor who will send my blood work there. Thoughts?

Hi Mayor - glad you're back!

Yes, Igenex is the place to get tested. The Western Blot IgM and IgG is a good start - $210 for both plus Fedex fee - and lab fee (if applicable)

So, you haven't been seeing a LLMD, are you planning to?

I don't know what your symptoms are, and what tests you've had done...but it's time to get to the bottom of it, and see a LLMD.

You can still have your blood work done by the other Dr., and by the time you get into see a LLMD, you will have the results.

If you change your subject to "Looking for LLMD in/near__________" and fill in the blank, you will get more responses.

Thanks for the info. All those tests have been done but with local NJ Labs (labcorp). Really don't know what direction to go, feeling frustrated. Can't lift my right arm, constant pain from my shoulder down my whole right side. Bad hip pain affecting my walk and bad lower back pain and of course totally fatigued. Went from infectious disease doc to rheumatologist to neurologist, I guess now to strictly a LLMD.

Yes, you definitely need to see a LLMD.

And, the other labs aren't as good at testing for Lyme Disease as Igenex.

Your arm issues - you may get a diagnosis of frozen shoulder. That's what I have...but it is a result of lyme disease attacking my nerves.
My left arm went limp one night - when I woke up with excruciating pain up my neck into the back of my head. - left arm limp, no feeling in it, including my index finger.

Then it turned into frozen shoulder. It was so bad, that when you looked at my back, you could see my right shoulder blade...but not my left. It was flat. It started to get better a few months after I started treatment. I still have a lot of pain on that side, but my arm is getting stronger and my shoulder blade looks close to normal now.

You're on the right track now, and we will help you. Keep coming back to read, and post any questions you have...alright?

Thank you girlie and mister mike. I just received an email from TBD alliance that gave me a list of doctors in NJ, I will start researching each and choose one. I will keep you posted!
