I have a strong suspicion my son has lyme. I have had it since 2002 (did not get diagnosed until 2014) and both of my children were born before I started treatment. Well now my older son has a huge lymphnode on his neck, complaining of headaches and his labs came back normal with the exception of the following...elevated SED Rate, CRP and Vitamin D levels were low. His ped referrered us to a ENT specialist, but I will also be giving him a lyme test and going to my LLMD doc next week.
Do those labs results seem like lyme? The reason I think it is, I remember years ago before I even knew I had lyme, I was getting these strange headaches and I went to the doctor and the only thing that came back abnormal was and elevated SED rate. I also used to always have low Vitamin D as well.

Hi
I have an enlarged neck node and I was negative with elevated SED rate only. I have chronic Lyme and responded to tx immediately. I had severe symptoms and was around livestock at my home for ten years.

CCCmama - Sorry you have this to worry about
now!
I had a swollen, sore clavicle lymph node along with low Vit. D...even though I was supplementing 2-4000 daily. (Prior to diagnosis) My SED rate was fine, though.
I would have an Igenex WB done...see what it shows.

Hi Cccmama,
A Western Blot test sounds like a great idea. Glad you are going to take him to your LLMD. Low Vitamin D can sometimes indicate an infection.
Keep posting, okay? We are here for you and your son!

Hi ccmama3000,
How is the bee venom working for you still. I know you haven't been online in a while and I can't seem to message you privately. We too have young kids who got Lyme in utero. Would it be possible for you to private message me, would love to hear how your kids are doing and if you can help us as we try to figure out the right treatment. Thank you so much.

I think it's good that you're taking him to your LLMD. When I was going through diagnosis, most of my labs were normal with the exception of an elevated CRP, SED, and low vitamin D. I also had Lyme while I was pregnant (but didn't know it), and have learned that all 3 of my kids have congenital Lyme. It's good to find out and get him started on treatment!

Hi Proverbs356 and welcome to our forum,
You have posted on an older post so I am not sure if ccmama3000 is still active on our forum or not.
We do have other members that have children with congenital Lyme just like Jasperilla has mentioned.
Feel free to start a new post on our main page and ask any questions you want to.
We also encourage all new members to read our "New to Lyme" start here thread at the top of the page.
It has good and useful information on Lyme, detoxing, symptoms and more.
Sorry for what your family is going through and I wish you all the best of healing.
Take care.
