My son (who as you already know has been dealing with lyme and bartonella for over a year, and doing well, minus some new herxing as we increase his herbs)
anyway, yesterday I saw a small, round, red mark on the back of his neck right at his hairline.
His dad took him on a bike ride yesterday morning and they stopped at about 3 area parks. I always spray my son before any time outside with natural tick repellent, and my husband rolls his eyes at me. So, did my husband spray my son before their park adventure? of course not. (They left at 7 am, I was sleeping until 7:30).
anyway, my question is…
since he's on herbals for lyme and bartonella already, if it is a new tick bite, would this be sufficient instead of getting antibiotics (just in case)?
I really don't want him on abx right now. Of course I don't want new infection either, but hopefully the herbs would be enough? b/c, seriously, the abx got bad for him last year, his gut, yeast... and I'm pretty sure contributed to a HORRILE motor ticcing flare in Dec. when he needed abx for an ear infection.
Thanks for any opinions.
(I'd put up a link to a picture of the red mark, but I can't figure out how to. Not so computer savvy.)
