How to use Olive Leaf Extract to Provoke Immune Response for Western Blot?

Hi, I have many symptoms of Lyme, so I'm seeing a LLMD for a new patient appointment on July 2, and he'll most likely have me do a Western blot test. I have heard someone on this forum suggest taking OLE before getting the Western Blot done to provoke an immune response. It sounds like a helpful suggestion.
I would like to hear other people's experiences of taking OLE before a Western blot. Did it help you to get an accurate test result? Also, how much of an OLE dose and how frequently should I take it per day?
I only have 3 weeks before my appointment. Do you think the OLE would make a significant effect if I take it just a few weeks before the Western blot?

I used soloray Olive leaf, 250mg , with 17% or 22% oleuperin. I built up to a daily dose of 1500mg then went back to 1000mg because 1500 hurt my stomach. I would take 500 in the morning and 500 at dinner. I herxed like the 4th day, but a month later I got a CDC possitive IGM.

I'm a 140 pound woman. Do you think that 500mg in morning and 500mg at dinner would be a good dose?

I'm a little concerned--does OLE act as an antibiotic to kill the Lyme bacteria? In that case, wouldn't it make it harder for the bacteria to show up on the Western blot? It's just hard to understand why killing the bacteria would help it show up on the test.

Yes, but build up to that dosage. The OLE kills Lyme and builds your antibody response. The WB looks for the antibody response not the bacteria.

Yeah when they test your blood for Lyme, they are looking for antibodies that your immune system makes to fight the bacteria. That's what is meant by evoking an immune response.

I used Gaia organic OLE brand I purchased from Whole Foods or Sprouts (California). I worked up to 3 capsules 3 times per day.

Yes, as Pete mentions, the OLE is an antimicrobial and antiviral. Some MDs also use antibiotics Rx to provoke an immune response. Either helps boost your immune response to the infection, to which it creates antibodies… the serology tests like ELISA and Western Blot tests measure the levels of antibodies to the lyme infection. So the better your immune system is functioning, the more antibodies it creates and the more there are to be detected by the tests.

Conversely, the sicker you are, the less your immune system functions, the harder it is for the tests to be accurate, and this is why these tests are such a huge failure on a colossal scale...

My chiropractor recently suggested that I begin taking probiotics. I am concerned, since OLE has antibiotic properties. Is it ok to take probiotics and OLE at the same time? I don't want the OLE to enervate the probiotics. Intuitively, I don't think that there will be a problem with taking them both at once, but I would like a second opinion on this.

Just separate them. So, take them two hours apart from the OLE. (2 hours before or after)

Some people take the probiotics later in the evening - the last thing before bed.

I take mine a couple times a day.

I know my post is a little late, but i did use OLE to provoke a response. I definitely had a response within a few days. I started having a fever blister after 5 or 6 years with none. I was also more fatigued. I never got up to the 3 capsules 3 times a day. When I increased the dose, it floored me so I went up slower. Right now I'm taking 2 capsules twice a day, but I took it for about 6 weeks before running the test. Mine came back positive for both CDC and Igenex.
