Need to find a Pediatric Lyme Literate Doctor !

Hi Everyone!

I am looking for a Lyme Literate doc for my daughter. She is ten and has been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease by her pediatrician and neurologist. She has been battling sickness for eight years now and things seem to be getting worse and no one had an explanation until now. She is beginning to have more seizures, migraines, and memory loss.
We live in Louisiana and doctors here believe that it is to rare for us so they are hesitant to test for it. I have researched pediatric doctors but have not been able to find anyone near Louisiana. I will travel if I have to but was hoping someone might know a good doctor closer.

Thanks I will be emailing you shortly. I would like to begin with a LLMD then work with her pediatrician for follow up treatments. I currently have a phone consultation so schedule in July with a Dr. M in Washington. I would to find someone closer!

I'm so sorry you're going through this with your daughter! My current LLMD is a pediatrician so I will email you his info. But we are in NYC--not so close to LA.

Another forum member sent me some info for docs in Houston: I will send you that info via email. Not sure if any of them are pediatricians, but Houston is much closer to you than WA. :) I also have a friend in Houston whose friend's daughter was very sick with lyme as a child; they traveled all over the country for help and eventually her daughter was healed. I hope you don't have to do that but I will see if I can get you her pediatrician's info.
