Need help - where to buy Cat's Claw/Jap Knotweed (online)

I'm usually able to organize my thoughts and make decisions...but I'm "off" that last couple days...especially today.

I need to order Japanese Knotweed - Dr. C. told me Source Naturals brand.
I also need Cat's Claw - Dr. C. didn't suggest a brand, but Buhner says Green Dragon is the one.

Is there one site I can order both from? Or is the Green Dragon one only sold on their own website.
I don't even know if this is making any sense..sorry. I'm really struggling today.

And, can anyone fill me in on cholestyramine? Is that a prescription med, or can that be ordered online, as well? And, can anyone take it - or should i be tested first. I want to add it for detoxing.

If you use LYME in the discount area it gives you 10% off. I just buy the whole powder and store it in the fridge. They have some that are USDA certified organic too, even though I think the bulk of it is grown in China.

I think cholestyramine is an rx but I'm not sure. I hope you start feeling beter!

Thanks Opugirl! Is it all bulk herbs? I'm thinking I want something in capsules...easier for me. Do you trust the stuff grown in China?

I've used the stuff grown in China and it worked for me! I think they also sell some in capsules too.

So, Buhner recommends Green Dragon Botanicals for the Japanese Knotweed.
I could get it plus the Cat's Claw there.

So, do I get what Buhner recommends, or what Dr. C. recommends for the JK? (I'm siding with Buhner I think) - I'd like to order both of them from one place

So, I have to order the JK from a different place than the Cat's Claw. darn.

Maybe I should put it on hold for today...I'm liable to order the wrong stuff - that's the kind of day I'm having.

You can buy both the Japanese Knotweed and Cats Claw from Green Dragon. Buhner recommends both.

Thanks so much Sarah - that's exactly what I needed to see. OMG what's the matter with my brain today? I've been treating with abx since July 4th and am on my 2nd day of abx-free and I'm a mess. I need to take a break because I have a rash on my back and need to confirm it's from the abx.
I hope the amoxicillian will do something!

Buhner no longer recommends SourceNaturals as a source for knotweed (some people were having reactions to it), but he does recommend both 1stChineseHerbs and WoodLandEssence.

We get our Japanese knotweed tincture from WoodLandEssence and the powdered Japanese knotweed from 1stChineseHerbs. Buhner's associate Julie McIntyre says that 1stChineseHerbs is a reputable company and that all of their products are 3rd party tested for metals and pesticides.

I think both companies sell cat's claw, although from WoodLandEssence it would be in tincture form.

Cholestyramine is a prescription. It's a powder that you mix with liquid. It doesn't dissolve well, but I mix it in fruit juice and I don't mind it too much.

It's one more of those things you have to schedule. You have to take it at least an hour before or two after other meds because it will bind them too.

Thanks everyone - I decided to do Green Dragon - JK and CC capsules. I've ordered them...holy s--- it took such effort today to get something so simple done.

I will probably start the Ammox tomorrow...I think my rash is clearing...so it's looking like it was from the doxy....not the zithro.

Hi chiming in here with a question, do any of you (Hi Girlie!) Know if Green Dragon Eleutherococcus tincture would be an OK substitute for Buhner's core protocol instead of his top choice of Herb pharm? I tried to research online because I see that he does think Green Dragon core LB is a good choice even though he doesn't say that directly on his website. Anyone have an opinion on this? Thanks much

Any of the companies that are mentioned on his site are good choices from what Buhner says, although he- like all of us- does have his preferences. Good quality is what's most necessary.

Thank you Traveler, your quick! I think for simplicity's sake I'm going to start my daughter out on Green Dragon core LB and also their Eleutherococcus tincture. Now I've got to research where to get Vit B Complex ,Vit C and Vit E, any thoughts of what brand is best to use? And do you think this is complete to start?

The problem with the Green Dragon core LB protocol to start someone off with it, is that it contains 5 different herbs that some people can react quite strongly to, so it's best to start off with individual herbs for a month or so. That way if there is a strong reaction to it, you know immediately which herb caused the reaction and you can reduce just the one herb right away.

Otherwise I think it's a good product.

Everyone -including doctors - seem to have their own opinion on what brands are best. There are a number of good quality supplement companies out there though, and basically remember that you get what you pay for.

For B-12, be sure that you get her either hydroxy or methyl type of B-12. The body can't always convert the Cyano type of B-12 well enough.

I use Soloray brand B complex, and I just ordered Solgar Vitamin E, and powdered Vitamin C(liposomal is best though) for some examples. I hope this helps some.

I agree with Traveler on the GD LB - you really want to start with one herb at low dose, and then introduce the second one at low dose.
