If you still have lyme arthritis, do you still have Lyme?

Or, should all of these sx be totally & completely gone before you stop treating?

Dx severe Lyme July 2013 (infected in May, late dx)
Doxy until Dec 2013
Began tx for Bart & Babs Dec. 2013
Oral abx until Oct. 2014
IV Rocephin Oct 2014- Feb 2015
On/off abx since

Some of the antibiotics can cause stiffness and joint issues. If you stop the antibiotics you can reassess where you are with the disease. I have done this several times but after about a month symptoms returned so I initiated the treatment again. Arthritis is later stage lyme I believe and from what I understand you are looking at 2-3 years of treatment, God willing.
