Hi Taylor,
Welcome to our forum... so glad that you found us... folks will help you in any way that they are able to. We have all been thru a bit of hell and can certainly relate to the emotional roller coaster.
Unfortunately, it is quite common to be mis-diagnosed and flat out dismissed.
You symptoms sound very much like Lyme & Co... there are two things to do here to start.
First...read the "New to Lyme Thread" at the top of the list.
Second...find a LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) to diagnose properly.
*It is very important to make sure that the LLMD is Ilads trained... as some will claim to be LLMD...yet not have specific training.
Unfortunately health insurance will not cover the LLMD... that is a whole other story... just know that the expense will be out of pocket... but it is worth it once you are properly diagnosed.
You can start another thread titled "Looking for LLMD in..." and name your general area. You will need to enable your email...because doctors names are not allowed to be posted...for privacy reasons.
You can also contact Ilads and get a referral from them...i will post a link below ... go to top right... contact...physician referral.
www.ilads.org/I will also post a short video from the Ilads site (done by a nursing student) explaining some of the isuues faced with Lyme & Co.
/www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FndZcvaU4sThere will be others coming in to help you along the way... also... try to reduce stress... because Lyme feeds off stress... meditation, yoga, funny Youtube stuff... whatever you can do... to give your mind a break.
