From the little that I have actually read on this subject, the "zappers" that you are referring to won't be sufficient to kill this particular bacteria because the Lyme bacteria is very complex. I really don't know the ins and outs of it all, so I encourage you to do a lot more research on the technical side of it.
While many people like to think that Lyme is the latest catch all - those that are diagnosed by ILADS trained LLMD's are not getting misdiagnosed very often at all. As a matter of fact, there are many people that I talk to personally that have been misdiagnosed with all kinds of things instead of Lyme. Anyone that has actually had to walk this path in their life will agree - it's much, much more likely that you will be misdiagnosed with something else rather than get a Lyme diagnosis. Other opinions come from those that are on the outside looking in.
To take it one step further, those that are being misdiagnosed with Lyme are not seeing ILADS trained LLMD's - they are seeing those doctors that have appointed themselves as LLMD's.
You will find all kinds of people making claims about what can heal Lyme - but there are only a few that actually work. We have been discussing those protocols here for some time. Please feel free to use the search function on this site to help locate posts pertaining to whatever protocols you wish to find posts on. You will want to enter the word Lyme as your first search term to help keep most of your responses in the Lyme forum.
And keep asking questions!! That's the only way we have to learn about this stuff!!
I am not 100% sure what you are saying, Traveler... I tried to look this up and failed to find what I was looking for, am I not allowed to ask this as it has been discussed before?
And I also wanted to point out that I said I didn't agree with all that the person I quoted had said. I know better than anyone that Lyme is not the commonmost diagnosis, as in an estimated 30 years of having it and looking desperately everywhere, not once was it even suggested to me as a possibility. Even today it hasn't yet been suggested, the diagnosis for my condition is my own, based upon the fact that I had the erythema migrans rash.
