I'm at a loss here.. Don't know which direction to go in.. About to give up

Last week, I was having the issues with my stomach and suspecting c. diff issues.. well I got in contact with LLMD (last week) who told me to stop the cefdinir and prescribed me "clindamycin" to start this week. He told me to take a few days break from the antibiotics to see if my stomach issues cleared up.. It did and I've been off meds since Thursday of last week. Everything is pretty much "solid" again.. But now (SORRY FOR THE TMI) recently there's a really weird and foul stench as well as a yellowish color.. ( In my stools - OMG that's so embarrassing to share, but oh well.. sad )

I went to the pharmacy to pick up my script yesterday and the script I got was for amoxi-clav 875mg twice a day. Has anyone heard of this medicine being effective? I thought it was only for minor stuff, not killing lyme (and I could be wrong). As of now, I don't see my LLMD for another 3 or 4 months and I see my LLND on the 23rd of this month. I'm going to ask my LLND about the coinfections and going after them first because I feel like those are my biggest issues right now, especially babs and bart.

On that note, can anyone relate to these symptoms being bart or babs?
Pain in toes, heels
HEAD PRESSURE!!!!
Pressure in ears/Ear Popping
Pain/Pressure in back of scull at base of my head/upper neck
Sudden dizziness/VERTIGO!!!
Panic attacks/anxiety
Weird marks showing up on body - especially after detox bath
bloodshot eyes
Head pain/ice pick headaches
Twitching (muscle - throughout the body)
SOB/Air hunger
Disturbed sleep
Buzzing or vibration feeling
Pain in my jaw/ears
Weird warm sensation in either my whole body or specific body part

Seriously these are my worst symptoms and I cannot shake ANY OF THEM!

I am currently still off of my meds, pending approval from my LLND but all of my darn symptoms are coming back and worse than ever. I'm literally going crazy. I had a panic attack last night and I just broke down at work today. I cannot take this. I need to feel some improvement soon or I'm scared what I'll do. I was on the verge of quitting my job today because I'm getting so f-ing sick!

I really wish I could give you input on the ABX but I can't because I haven't been on any of them for Lyme. Currently I am taking Mepron and Azithromycin, both of which are treating Babesia. I am being treated for Lyme and Babesia, positive labs, and my LLND feels that I am also battling with Bart as well. I can tell you that I experience pretty much ALL of the symptoms that you listed. And I can tell you some of those symptoms are exactly why my LLND believes I have Bart as well. My LLND added in the Mepron and Azithromycin at my appt on 06/19. Prior to this appt I was only taking a few natural supplements that my previous ND had me on, which were weak and weren't doing much of anything. The LLND that I now see is definitely more focused and concerned about my co-infections. I think it's definitely worth mentioning to your LLND on the 23rd. I can't say that I feel a lot better since starting the 2 medications on the 19th but I can say that I seem to have more "episodes" of feeling "normal". These episodes DO NOT last long but they are happening more often since starting these 2 medications. I will warm you, Mepron is SUPER expensive. The slip I got from the pharmacy said $1899!!!! I do have insurance but had to pay a deductible, so I still had to pay $490 for a 30 day supply.

I hear you on the going crazy part. I work full-time as a nurse in a doctors office. I am finding that ALL of the struggles I am dealing with between incompetent Doctors and fighting with insurance is REALLY making me jaded. I became a nurse for a reason but this illness is causing me to become someone I am NOT and making it REALLY hard to do my job. Recently, my anxiety started getting worse and I noticed that I am getting paranoid A LOT. I've dealt with anxiety for a long time but the paranoia is new for me. How am I supposed to do my job, taking care of people, when I am so sick? I can't even tell you how many times in the past 2 weeks that I have texted or told my husband that I am on the verge of a total breakdown. I am NOT writing this to "take away" from what you are dealing with but to let you know you are not alone! I wouldn't wish this illness on my worse enemy but I do find comfort ( for lack of better words) knowing that there is SOMEONE out there who actually knows what I am going through.

Please keep us posted on how your visit goes on the 23rd.

Sorry you're having such a tough time. Join the club though, eh? I'm in about the same spot. Not really sure of my direction, as far as healing, Well, GI issues (though more constipation-based), and the fact that I've dealt with, or still deal with, all of those symptoms, apart from SOB/air hunger and the marks, I think. I don't really look for them though, so might have some subtle ones.

As far as what coinfections the symptoms point to, I've no clue. I know the respiratory stuff is about commonplace for those dealing with Babs. Others, well, Bart's a good candidate. For me, I would say Bart. I've reacted more to Houttuynia than I have something like the CSA tincture. But, who knows? Again, not me. Sorry.

But, yeah, that's the problem with this crap, a lot of it goes hand-in-hand. The Great Imitator, right? Imitators rather, of even each other sometimes. Ha.

On the topic of the various abx, again, not much of an idea. THOUGH.. I actually have a script of that very same amox/clav mixture that was given to me for a cyst I've got. Hasn't done much. No herxing or anything. Granted, I've been told you don't have to herx for the medicines to be working, but, in most cases, I'd be skeptical.

Much like you, I don't think the amoxicillin is very effective, for most. But, to be fair, I've seen a couple talking of how it's helped some of their symptoms.

Again, not that knowledgeable, but, looking at your symptoms, I really don't think that's adequate. You need the other stuff, whatever else your doctors are wanting you on, for sure.

Anyway, just like to say that I'm sorry again. I know it's hell on ya. So many similarities between what you got going on and what I got.

But, hey, you're actually seeing Lyme literate doctors for the stuff, so there's a chance. Bigger one than I got. I'm about to start working just to afford some more supplements and to try out different herbal protocols, and maybe little abx I can get my hands on.

As messed up as it probably is to hear, and for me to say, I'm kind of jealous of Jillbob (Jill and Bob) over there. My luck would have it, that fortune of a medication is exactly what I'm needing, but will probably never get it. $500 a month, after insurance coverage? Lord have mercy, huh?

Anthony's right...this stuff goes hand in hand..like a bunch of thugs.

It's super smart and knows how to survive. Getting rid of these infections takes everything you've got because it gets much worse before it gets better.. It's not like a throat infection where you get a z pack and 10 days later it's gone....nope.

It can take months or years to even feel relief...I'm sorry, but that's the truth.

What helps? Of course eating organic...I like raw lately, but not 100%, detoxing, drinking water, prayer,/meditation, getting on a good treatment, (pm me if you'd like to know what protocol)..

Hang in there guys, you will get better!

It's Augmentin which I understand is Amoxicillin with a anti inflammatory. IMO it won't kill anything but it should keep things at an even keel while your gut heals even more. This disease causes so much anxiety and stress. Even some of the abx create additional anxiety. Isn't that helpful.

The foul smell may be your body ridding itself of toxins that it was holding when you were having gut issues.

There is a product that I've used in my house and even given as gifts to friends with teenagers. My 26 year old daughter's friends think I'm a genius for finding this when they use it at her place. It's my claim to fame.:-) It's called Just a Drop and it truly makes your poop not smell. You put in the drop or two in the bowl before you go and it absorbs the odor before it can waft out. The sell large battles for home, medium size and purse or pocket size(travel size). You never need to feel embarrassed at work or at a friends. They have their own website or you can get it on Amazon. I find you need a few drops.

I'm so sorry you feel like you are at the end of your rope, Aly!! (((((hugs)))))

I would call the doctor's office and make sure that's what they ordered since they are different classes of abx. The amoxi-clav is also known as Augmentin which is used for treating these infections though.

I see a mixture of Lyme, Bart and Babs symptoms in your list. So you definitely need to get back into treatments and be sure you are detoxing very well.

I hope your LLND's appt goes well.

Let me know if you need help regarding the c. diff.

You may have to stop abx for awhile.

You probably need to get tested.

PS, Amoxi-Clav is not the kind of thing a doc would prescribe for C. Diff., if that's what you mean.

Docs usually prescribe Flagyl, and if that doesn't work, Vancomycin.

Have you been tested for H. Pylori? Either ask for a stool test or the breath test. Have you been taking probiotics?
Also, ask for a c. diff stool test.

Aly, have you been tested for c diff? Have you asked your doctor about that? Because if you have C diff, you shouldn't keep taking antibiotics, especially not that one.
