My LLMD suggested that I start taking chlorella to help detox. I'm debating about which to buy. I've read that broken cell wall is the best type, but most of those appear to be tablet form instead of capsule. I'm concerned that the tablets might not dissolve as well. Has anyone had success with any particular brand or form of chlorella? Thanks!

I use Dr Mercola's Broken cell wall chlorella, it works great. Although it can take a few days (up to a week) to see effect. In terms of Lyme's I don't know, I'm sure someone else on this forum has tried it though.

Broken Cell wall is certainly the best kind, I'm sure.

Hi Nosila—

Have you been tested for heavy metals? Chlorella is a hvy mtls binder and is very effective and if you're not detoxing efficiently—enough to carry the hvy mtls after the chlorella releases them from the tissues, you'll end up reabsorbing them and could trigger even worse sx. Please proceed with caution and make sure you're detoxing well.

I've taken the tablet forms with success, had no trouble with them dissolving.

I actually have an appointment to do heavy metals testing in a few weeks. I knew that chlorella would bind with heavy metals, but I didn't realize there was a possibility of reabsorbing them. So I appreciate the heads-up! I do a fair amount of detoxing, so I'll give this a shot and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing!

Quick question on chlorella, Pirouette you mention one can reabsorb metals with this supplement, but overall does it bind to quite a few of the metals it releases and help shuttle those out of the body effectively?

I've been thinking about using chlorella for a while now. I'm seeing the llnd this week so will run it by him as well, I'm trying my best to examine a lot of different detox options.
