The truth about heavy metals toxicity

Our environment is toxic...from leaded gasoline used up until the 1990's(I THINK that's when), to mercury in the amalgam(tooth fillings), to lead in the paint, to aluminum cookware!!! Oh, and let's NOT FORGET, the chemicals in pesticides-eeeeeek!

Then there's the hard-proof that mercury is in vaccines.

For me and MANY chronically ill individuals, our immune systems FIRST attack was by heavy metals toxicity that we accumulated over years.

THEN when we're infected we cannot fight the bugs and we end up chronically ill!!!

The good news is Dr' s data provides the testing kit for only $60!!!

I was intrigued by this thread because I've become aware of the fact that many of us have toxic metal issues - even if we don't know it.

The testing kit sweetpeaisme mention piqued my interest and I began to investigate.

You should see what Quackwatch says about chronic Lyme!! It will definitely raise the hairs on your head - and anger in your mind.

Never give that site any credit for anything that is said. I believe the dude has a mental illness or something.

So is Doctor's Data a reputable source for testing?

Just the little I read regarding Barrett and quack watch was enough to discredit him. I don't understand how he can use MD after his name and be an "expert" witness if he never passed his board. I also don't understand how some organization can claim to be a plaintiff when they don't represent real people.

But regardless of them, does anyone have real experience with Doctor's Data and are they for real or are they another person/company looking to make money off of desperately ill people?

Just read an article about a woman with high levels of heavy metals, which were, thallium and cesium and they found out it was from eating lots of cabbage, which sucks these metals out of the ground when growing!!! The woman stated she ate cabbage everyday and also did juicing with kale which also sucks those metals out of the ground while growing. They also stated that broccoli, cauliflower and collard greens will give you high heavy metal readings if you eat it as a regular diet everyday. I remember when the fad of the cabbage diet came out and eating it everyday for months just to lose weight.

Herb all the way, since when is Mother Nature against the law... That's why they made it illegal in the 1950s so the pharmaceuticals can make money along with the Drs who push meds with such bad side affects that they make you sicker and put a toll on your kidneys and liver. My friend was in 4th stage pancreatic cancer until one of his family members gave him hemp oil ( Phoenix Tears) and it cured him. You can go to Rick Simpsons Facebook page and read it. They also use it for Leukemia and brain tumors..

How do you get the testing done? I mean other using Doctor's Data.

I've come across "Doctor's Data" several times in doing research. Heavy metals has been discussed here many times, but I have only seen people mention that they are treating it, not how they tested for it.

Do people treat for Heavy Metals the same as some of the confections, meaning go by symptoms and treat accordingly? This area in particular is really fuzzy because there doesn't seem to be any real data out there. I do believe that I probably have some mercury in my fillings because some are very old, but my symptoms started way before I had any fillings.

I may get beat up, but I have to say that there is NO mercury in any current vaccines. It's possible (and probably likely) that there was mercury in vaccines when I was a kid (decades ago) and therefore have gotten some mercury in my system that way, but the medical community now believes all of that has been fixed. Vaccines are safe on that front.

Oh, well, darn the torpedeos. By refusing to get vaccines, especially for childhood diseases, we put not just our children but other people with a compromised immune system at risk. Pregnant women, children to young to be vaccinated, cancer treatment patients, and so on.

The measles epidemic this past year is a perfect example. The person who brought it into Disneyland was likely a foreigner from a country where vaccination programs are voluntary. It spread so far because what better place to ensure that people would touch lots of surfaces or sneeze on them or transmit in another fashion. I was once waiting at the condiments station to get ketchup and watched a little girl watching her mother. When the Mom's head turned away looking for another child, the little girl stuck her finger up the inside of the ketchup spigot, then quickly put it in her mouth. Ever since then I eye every ketchup dispensing station everywhere and debate if I really want ketchup.

I had a friend who's son had childhood lukemia. She told me stories about how difficult it is for the family. She couldn't even bring him to the Grocery store. She explained it this way: your kid is sick with something like the chicken pox. You need to go get groceries and can't leave them home. No problem, right. It's just a childhood illness that all kids get so if someone gets it a little sooner than expected, it all works out because they get the chicken pox and it's over and done with. You don't have to worry anymore about taking time off deal with a sick child. It's over and done with.

Except, that in the next isle over there could be someone with a compromised immune system. Someone for whom the chicken pox is not just a childhood illness, but has the very real possibility of doing serious harm including death. Now that measles is under control, whopping cough cases are on the rise and will be the next disease that makes a comeback after having been eradicated in the Western world.

Sorry for the soapbox. I understand that we all have reason not to trust doctors but I personally have found that my Pediatrician is definitely trustworthy. The myth that mercury is used in vaccines has been debunked except that it keeps getting perpetuated by desperate people looking for answers.

Fish is a different story. There is mercury and other toxins in our waterways and oceans. Fish do take in that mercury and it stays in their body. Some fish more so than others. So if we eat the fish we are consuming the mercury. Farm raised fish is the worst because if they are ocean fish, the "farm" is a pen in an area where the "farmer" grows their "crop". If there is mercury deposited in the soil/sand and plants, the fish are continuing to consume the mercury and take in a greater amount over their life span. A wild fish eats from many different areas and therefore is less likely to have high enough mercury levels to be toxic (one fish by itself).

The SO-called measles epidemic was scare tactics. Fear is what drives people to get vaccinated. Also, IF you believe IN vaccines, and are vaccinated against measles then how does that put you & the vaccinated at risk for measles from those infected-it doesn't IF YOU believe vaccines work!!! Purportedly, the only people who got measles DID NOT get vaccinated...MANY who fell ill from the SO-called measles outbreak WERE VACCINATED-vaccines havent been scientifically proven to work.

In Oregon, a few winters back we had an epidemic of whooping cough IN VACCINATED individuals. I have family in Medford, ALL who were vaccinated with the D.T.P., & were quarantined in their homes as they had whooping cough!

3) in comparison of my two kids=1 had chicken pox vaccine, the other did not
Both of my kids had chicken pox-the vaccinated one STILL GOT a mild case of the illness. Yes, I said 'mild', but the other non-vaccinated child had a longer course of the illness but has a natural immunity to the illness

& I digress as this thread was about heavy metal toxicity not vaccines!

Has anyone here (besides me) ever passed an infection to a child under the age of 7 that was going through Chemo for cancer? It was a simple mistake really. I picked up my step-son at the time, and his mother forgot to tell us that he had been exposed to chicken pox. No big deal for healthy children - I was even slightly relieved that my kids had been exposed - but we didn't find out that we had all been exposed until AFTER we had gone to visit this family that we were friends with and their youngest son - 7 yrs old at the time - was going through cancer treatments at that time.

Well it got pretty ugly - and scared the pants off of me that I might have been responsible for killing that child - no he didn't die, but it was close. And it was from a simple childhood illness that won't kill most.

So, let's take something that we who are relatively healthy usually get vaccinated for. Imagine the damage that would have been done to that child had we had exposed this child to measles, or mumps - or pick any one of the bad ones.

I would like to know how someone would live with themselves knowing that they had played a role in infected a child with cancer with something that could or would kill the child.

I almost did.

So there has to be better answers out there for the protection of those that don't have a good immune system to protect them and for those of us that have no desire to have immunizations.

By the way - I don't get them any more either.

rowingmom, I did not intend to say that you should get your immunocompromised child immunized to protect another immunocompromised child. If I did, I apologize.

My intent was to point out that some people decide not to vaccinate their healthy child without realizing that if the child got sick, they could unknowingly put another child at risk. Exactly the situation Traveler described. My best friend had a 3 year old with Leukemia and this was exactly the type of situation that could cause a problem.

Obviously, this is a very touchy subject so I'll never mention the word vaccine again in this forum. One thing to remember though is as with Lyme there is still a lot of controversy regarding this subject.
