worried about my first attempt to bathe with the picc line.

So. I've got to get clean and I can't decide if I want to wash my hair in the sink and then take a crappy bath or brave the shower.

I plan on wrapping a dish towel around the picc and then wrapping and taping press and seal over that. Hopefully that's good enough!

The lady's that put it in gave me what they jokingly referred to as 'cow insemination gloves' and tape. Lol!!

Get a DryPro PICC line protector. They work great.

There are specific plastic coverings for the PICC that are designed for bathing. You can also wrap Saran Wrap around it, applying like an ACE wrap, and tape with waterproof dressing tape. Just make sure there are no gaps in the Saran Wrap dressing. I am a critical care RN, and have done both for patients. I hope this helps. 😊
