Best probiotic for the money?

There have been very good posts on Probiotics in the past, but many are just getting too expensive. Always new people here with new info too.

I used VSL3, has 112 billion of the good bacteria in it. BUT price has almost doubles in two years, its $80 for 60 count now.

The "Probiotic 225" - actual name, might be the best, but its $100 per month.

Florestor, which is yeast priobiotic, didnt do much for me, made me uncomfortable, but was only about $35 per month.

I think it's a good idea to switch probiotics every now-and-then.

I LOVE the Garden of Life brand (it's organic, raw, gluten/soy/GMO free and has 34 strains.) They have several varieties—the male version PeteZa mentioned and a female version, children's, "high" doses and "emergency doses.

I like the "5 Day Max Care," version, which is non-gender specific (maybe I should also try the female version) but this a loose powder that comes in a jar and it's $35 at Whole Foods, it's often on sale at Sprouts for $31 (I'm in CA) but the box top includes a $3 coupon for the next purchase.

The dosage on the pkg indicates 15g per serving, which is about 400 billion. I take more or less, depending on my treatment cycle (I infuse abx via IV 4 days per wk so I take 800 billion on those 4 days and don't take any on my days off).

So it runs about $120/month give-or-take. It is expensive but I have played around with various doses and this is what works best for me. And I can really tell a difference when I take lower doses. I learned through DNA testing that I was born with less good bacteria than normal so maybe others would have good results w/ lower doses.

Hands down for me, is a probiotic called Jarro-Dophilus recommended by my LLND. I tried multiple probiotics that all helped but never really solved my intestinal problems. Jarro fixed it almost immediately. That being said, I gave some to a woman I know and boy did it cause terrible stomach pains due to her constipation issues.
Best probiotic for you really depends on you. I was having excessive gas that was causing really bad heartburn and Jarro fixed it. There are probiotics for lots of things.
Go to amazon and look up probiotics and read the reviews, there are some really good probiotics out there, so it's hard to say to just buy one.
Currently I'm taking Jarro-Dophilus, Garden Of Life Primal Defense (very potent), and a doctor recommended Flora from England.
-last year I ate a subway sandwich and was regurgitating and burping up gas for close to 5 hours. It was terrible. 2 days this week I had some of the best tasting subway sandwiches ever. *by the way it's the first time in 6 months I reintroduce gluten and no terrible dizziness or headaches, just mild stuff.
