Not all herbs are compatible with each other.
Nutrimedix has this handy compatibility chart:

I was following the full Cowden protocol for the first 6 months of this year and wanted to trial Buhner's babesia procotol which includes crypto and art.
Since I did not know what compatibility issues there might be with the Nutramedix herbs, I decided to switch to Buhner's Lyme protocol because Buhner indicates that all of his protocols can be followed concurrently (which means the herbs are compatible)
Without a doubt, do NOT start all of the herbs at once on the same day at the maximum recommended daily dose.
I titrated the Cowden herbs at what I thought was a slow speed (starting at 1 drop per dose and increasing by 1 drop per day). I had my worst-ever herx on 3 drops Samento and 3 drops Banderol - worse than what I'd had on abx.
You'll read stories of others herxing on just Cowden's detox herbs.
That said, as I titrate Buhner's herbs, I'm following the advice of the members on here: start with 1 drop of 1 herb and take that for 4-7 days before adding another herb.
I'm getting the entire protocol going at low doses and will slowly increase the doses of each herb until I'm at maximum doses for all of them.
I had a strong enough herx on 5 drops crypto that I stopped treatment for a day to let the herx calm down with increased detoxing.
And, it's now time for the famous forum question.....are you detoxing?
If not, and you've been infected awhile, I suggest that you do a LOT of detox for at least a week...if not longer, before starting any herbs.
If you are detoxing, I suggest that you increase it and continue to increase throughout treatment. You need to stay ahead of the killing. Otherwise, your body can become flooded with toxins, you'll have a significant increase in symptoms....and your healing will be stalled.
We have lots of great detox suggestions in the "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the forum. And, the site I'm linking below has been the source of many detox ideas I've employed:
