DR D in Cleveland/Columbus area????

So after doing research yet again, I have become interested in a Dr. in the Cleveland area. He was recommended also through the PA Lyme Asso. and uses both antibiotics as well as herbal remedies it appears. I am wondering if any of you have had experiences...good or bad....that may help me determine if it is worth the visit. It is a Dr. D of whom I speak and I believe has operates out of two offices in the Cleveland/Columbus area. If any of you reading knows anything or can offer any input on this, I would immensely appreciate it as sometimes it feels like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of a non-existing rainbow.

I saw Dr. D last year at his suburban Cleveland office. He is VERY thorough which I really like. He is also pretty aggressive with antibiotics. He is a bit quirky and strange, but a nice guy nonetheless. However, he is also very expensive and I have a few issues about how they run things.

He charges by the hour at $400/hr or something like that. He will ramble forever about everything so you must keep him on track to keep the cost down. The office said its usually about a 2 hour appointment for the first appointment, and mine was close at a little over 2 hours, so I spent $900 on the first appointment.

The other thing I don't like is his "sick calls". If you want to ask him a question or just run something by him at all, you have to schedule a sick call with him, and the hourly charge is the same as his regular office hours.

In short, if you have the money, he is a good doc and will treat aggressively with antibiotics and herbs/supplements. But if money is an issue, you may be bothered by his appointments. I couldn't afford him so I went elsewhere.
