Hi Twinmkm,
I am an essential oils junkie. They are my life right now and have been for over 18 months. Razzle, from what I can tell, you use the same name brand I use. Awesome! Those are the most authentic and as true of an essential oil that you can get.
Twinmkm, you had the question of whether diffusing the essential oil is the most beneficial. There are actually 3 ways to "get" your essential oil fix. Inhalation (which can be diffusing) or you can simply smell the oil right from the bottle (or you can buy those empty nasal inhaler tubes and put oils in there and inhale that way) The 2nd way is to apply them topically, mostly where ever you are having the issues, such as pain. You would apply, like Razzle said, Idaho Balsam fir to your sore area, then apply a layer of Copaiba over that as it will drive the essential oil deeper into your skin. It takes 1 drop of an essential oil to reach EVERY cell in your body within 20 minutes! The 3rd way is to ingest, and I will not elaborate on that, as it is essential oil company specific about
whether you can take their oils internally or not.
As far as you adding them to your bath. YES! but, be sure you are adding the oil to either Epsom Salt or Baking Soda (something the oil will adhere to) because if you just toss a couple of drops of oil into your bath water without a binder, the oil will not disperse though out the water and you will get no benefit.
Right now, my favorite essential oils are Aroma Siez then layered with Copaiba for the pain I have in my head and my neck (I apply them topically on my neck and temples and occipital area below my head) another fav of mine is Stress Away (name says it all) I also use Joy essential oil (1 drop over my heart) It helps me with everyday living and the denial of being ill. I also use White Angelica. 1 drop on my forehead. Says its great for people who suffer from Lyme.
I sincerely hope to be completely on essential oils (using them all 3 ways, as currently I only do the first 2 being I am on strong abx for my chronic Lyme) But once I get to (hopefully some day) get off the abx, that I can take care of the rest of my Lyme symptoms with the sole use of essential oils and their supplements, which those too are amazing. Good luck, and research you essential oils. So many companies have a lot of synthetic additives to their oils. The FDA only requires an essential oils company to be sure that 20% of their bottle of oil is pure. The rest can be what ever the company wants to put in it, and unfortunately, some companies take the cheap way out and add perfumes and other synthetic fillers. So....I def am not trying to make a sale by no means, yet I just want you aware that there are many many essential oils out there. Do your homework to get the BEST benefits. :)
