A bit confused in light of seeing an Infectious Disease MD

I was diagnosed as having Lyme Disease based on the IGENIX Western Blot test. My results show IND for 23-25, IND for 31, IND for 39, ++ for 41, and IND for 83-91. I also tested ++ for band 58 and + for 66, which seem to not be relevant based on the description by IGENIX as they are not double starred. Does this truly mean I have Lyme Disease? The LLMD says it does but an infectious disease doctor I saw today thinks my worsening symptoms are from too much antibiotics and not an actual infection from Lyme Disease. I am a bit confused now and would like othe people's thoughts on my results. Thank you.

Dogmom-I'm sorry you went through that experience. It's widely known that ID dr's are the most outspoken and aggressive that Lyme disease doesn't exist.

If you had posted that you were going to an ID dr we would have told you the response would be you do not have Lyme.

You tested positive and indicative in Lyme specific bands. How can it not be Lyme. I'm going to assume the ID dr told you it was a false positive yet that's not possible.

23-25 outer surface protein C (OspC), specific for Bb
31 outer surface protein A (OspA), specific for Bb
39 is a major protein of Bb flagellin; specific for Bb
41 flagellin protein of all spirochetes; this is usually the first to appear after a Bb infection
83 specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium, probably a cytoplasmic membrane
93 unknown, probably the same protein in band 83, just migrates differently in some patients
58 unknown but may be a heat-shock Bb protein
66 cross-reactive for all Borrelia, common in all bacteria

Thank you, jrpsf! I did note a bit of a standoffish attitude by this doctor. Apparently, the local hospital who administered my first week of Rocephin through my PICC line actually had the chief of staff call him and verify that Rocephin is proper for Lyme Disease. My LLMD wrote the orders. It has been such a weird journey lately. Not to mention, I also learned last week that I am also positive for Tularemia by Quest Diagnostics. I have been very ill over the last month and had not posted anything as a result. This doctor made me start feeling confused as I know he is well respected here in the medical community.
