I think the things that are helping me feel better:
I quit antibiotics
lemon and apple cider vinegar and green vibrance added to my filtered drinking water-lots
couple cups of detox tea a day
dry body brushing 2 x day
1 cup of homemade bone broth a day
gluten free sugar free dairy free diet- also low fruit. Basically just noshing on good sourced meat and veggies
exercise 1 hour a day minimum of yoga/walking/biking
lots of good probiotics- I like the Garden of Life Mood formula
also taking herbs from Classical Pearls
and lots of vitamin C, magnesium, a good multivitamin, a mushroom blend, lysine and omega 369 oils
essential!-epsom salt bath every frigging day with hydrogen peroxide and lavender oil
plus a couple herbs from the Buhner protocol.
acupuncture 2-4 times a week
wishing everyone sweet health and improvement! It is possible!!!!
Would love to hear what other people have done that has been helpful to heal their bodies homes and relationships. My body is getting better and now i need to work on cleaning my home space. This disease does call for a total transformation!

Congratulations, Noralove!!!
It's not always easy to find what the body needs, but when you do, it's really wonderful!!
My list would look very similar to yours while I was healing these infections, and not too far off from that now.

It's so great to hear positive news noralove! Sounds like a great approach...can I ask how long you were on abx for? I've quit antibiotics and gone all herbal.

Thanks Traveler! You are such a great wealth of info and hearing about
your path helped me to feel more confident about
healing without antibiotics.
Hey Sniogra, Thanks for the well wishes. I have had intense joint issues for over 2 years and was diagnosed with Lyme about
a month ago. I was on doxyclycline for 22 days at 100 mg/ 2 x day. I kept accumulating more and more of the doxy side effects and stopped taking it after I got an intense rash that broke out all over my joints and my joints swelled up. I stopped taking the antibiotics about
5 days ago and my rash went away within a day of stopping the meds.
I noticed an immediate improvement when i first started taking the antibiotics so thankful for them for a time but then seemed to just be stripping my gut of its power and poisoning me rather than helping.
So thankful to have support to be on an herbal protocol at this point.
Would love to hear about
other successful herbal approaches if anyone wants to share their experience.

Congratulations noralove!
It's wonderful to be able to celebrate yet another member experiencing improvements. May it long continue!
You have quite the comprehensive protocol going on right now and I think that's what's necessary for most of us to heal.
Best wishes moving forward!!

It's great to hear that you are feeling better..!!
Reading your brief explanation of diagnosis and treatment of 22 days.... leaves pause for concern. I am under the impression that doxy 200mg of daily intake will barely manage the bacteria reproduction. The rash sounds like it may have been a severe herx because you kicked the proverbial hornets nest of bacteria. I don't blame you for stopping though and certainly everyone knows their own body the best.
A healthy lifestyle and nutrition can go a long way in building your own natural immunity. Combined with an herbal treatment approach you could be well on your way to beating lyme, but be aware that you seem to have been under treated in the antibiotic arena and as I've learned from personal experience that could come back to haunt you.
Best of luck....

Yeah, I'm a little concerned that you're quitting antibiotics and not replacing them with something strong enough. Can you share the herbs and doses of them that you're taking? We're just trying to help.

Just to reiterate, 22 days of doxy is not an effective treatment, even if you are feeling better.

I would not be doing my job if I didn't share my agreement with B777 and Sarah. I recognized your name when I first posted on this thread but, not your story.
We care about
every single member on here.
I know I'd feel a lot more comfortable about
your potential for successful treatment if you'd share what protocol(s) you are following.
Please accept my apologies in advance if you'd rather not share. Everyone's journey is only his to walk. I'm just offering an arm if you'd like it ;)

I read your post when you first wrote it. My first thought was you are feeling better since you stopped treating. That will catch up with you and bite you in the butt.
I say this because I've been off abx 3 weeks as of last Friday. Not by choice but because I became allergic to IM Rocephin and that tanked my kidneys. I'm good to go and my new IM abx will be here tomorrow. I've been feeling great and then symptoms came slamming back about
3-4 days ago. Yesterday was by far the worst. The all over body pain was awful. I brushed my hair this morning and my scalped burned. It hasn't done that in months.
Unfortunately for many/most of us the eradication process makes us feel lousy. Killing this disease creates toxins and those toxins make us feel, well toxic. That's the reason detox is stressed so heavily.
Reading this helped me understand that my feeling like crap at times was helping me in my quest for regaining my health. http://www.lyme-symptoms.com/LymeDiseaseInfo/EradicationProcess.html
Just the eradication part.

Thank you for your concern.
I am meeting with a naturopath and an LLMD this week for further advice.
Currently taking
-6000mg of Classical Pearls/day (prescript
ion grade chinese medicine blend- Lightning/Thunder/dragon combo)
-2000 mg neem/day
-2000 mg cats claw/day
-3 drops of teasel 2 x day
-800 mg Egcg
multi vitamin/probiotics/omega oils
a bunch of other stuff in smaller doses
drinking yogi detox tea, berry detox tea, yogi ginseng vitality and dandelion root teas
hoping to avoid antibiotics if possible. I think maybe I was experiencing some sort of wicked herx or reaction to the antibiotics. Will be good to get more informed opinions on the matter and suggestions for proceeding.
In the mean time I am still feeling good. A little fatigue and dizziness still but miles beyond where I was a week ago.
Thanks for any insight and advice.
Blessings to you all!

Love all that you are doing. Supporting your body, detoxing, healing herbs, bone broth, acupuncture.
All sounds great.
Want to try to make homemade bone broth!!
I do yoga too. Think it really helps.
Keep healing. πΈπ

Thanks for the clarification on your treatment, noralove!
I'm happy to see that you're taking a variety of antimicrobial herbs. If you're dealing with any coinfections, you'd need to add herbs that address those.
I would hope that, between your two doctors, they can help frame a targeted approach.
You are doing what's needed to heal....just as CaliLyme described.
Please keep us updated and, most important, keep up with the great job of healing!!
