Bullseye rash on Friday morning... Help!

Hi everyone, long time no "see"... Sorry I haven't been back until now.
I need your help. I woke up on Friday morning @ 5:00 AM with an itchy bite on the inside of my thigh. I turned on the light and looked at it, at that time it was a raised bump that looked like a mosquito bite, but upon further investigation saw two small holes side by side. I thought spider bite.
2 hours later I woke up and it looked like a bullseye raised/red center and bruised outside. I put EOs on it and called my doctor and got on minocycline. I'm still doing a few herbs and YL inner defense, plus of course detoxing and vitamins. It's basically gone now. But it was itchy and painful and it did grow... Went from size of golf ball to about softball, but like I said, it's so faint now it's basically gone.

Any suggestions? Do you guys think I'll be okay? Do you think it was lyme or just a bad spider bite?
I'm worried because I know with an already compromised immune system from past chronic infection (well, I've been pretty healthy, but I can assume I more susceptible)... What if I got some crazy coinfection(s) I didn't have before? Is mino good enough coverage...? I'm scared. This has been such a long journey... I don't think I can do it over again.

The last few days I've been having a few muscle pains and my temp is 99... But I am back on abx so it could be that I'm dealing with underlying lyme that's still leftover from the previous stuff?

Agreed, Delmar. You should be concerned about starting astragalus too soon after healing a Lyme infection - but Buhner also says that some people with chronic Lyme actually feel better on it too!! Whether or not to use it though is your choice, but you do need to use something to treat your reinfection.

You have a bulls' eye, so you are reinfected. There are too many strains out there to know for sure which one we get when we get reinfected, so you will have to have treatment. Remember, a bull's eye rash is 100% conformation of Lyme 100% of the time. It's the only thing that brings on that particular rash.

We never know for sure if we have picked up a co-infection until the symptoms start in. That's what I liked about the astragalus though, it keeps my immune function ramped up (in all the right places) so that the likelihood of it not being able to overcome those bacteria/protozoa are lessened dramatically as well from what I understand.

I have been using astragalus since January and have had several times where I'm convinced I should have had Lyme after a tick bite from the way it responded, but I have not had any symptoms return at all. I would suggest that you seriously look into using it or something else in order to prevent this from happening over and over again.

So you think Astragalus is better at this point than mino? Or you just think I should start taking astragalus for preventative going forward and/or in combo with mino, if tolerated.

I'm seriously going to make myself sick I'm so emotional and stressed over this. My husband is pissed at me for even thinking its lyme. He looked at it the day it happened and said it was a bruise from the pressure of the spider bite - not lyme...
