Malarone and heart palpitations/shortness of breath feeling

Hi Everyone!

Just started malarone and have been on azithromycin. Has anyone gotten heart palpitations with the malarone? My chest and left arm feel achy as well, but they usually do from time to time anyways. I have gotten the shortness of breath and heart palpitations before, but just wasn't sure if I could herx this fast, or if it was a coincidence. It was about 4 hrs after I took the medicine.

How long have you been on the zithro? I had to stop Zithromax because it worsened my cardiac issues. I was fine for a month and then started having issues with it so it could also be the zithro.

I've been on that for about 2 months on and off. Had to reduce to half dose because of hives. Doctor wasn't sure if my hives were allergy or bartonella coming out. What did you replaced the zithro with? I just feel like I've been treating this for almost 5 months now and only see little improvement. But, I am not able to take meds at full dose ever.

Leah have you considered switching to another abx like Cefdinir and pulsing? Cefdinir per my doctor seems to be more tolerated (then again depends on who you are) and you can pulse it unlike Zithro.

FYI I was on Zithro/Mepron and it did very little for me. I've been on Cefdinir/Tinidazole for about 4 months and its worked much better for my Babs.

I will definitely suggest it. So these infections(Lyme, Bart, babs) take a long while to get over I'm learning. My family is so surprised I'm not better yet.

I didn't replace it I haven't down antibiotics for almost a year because every time i start within a week my heart arrythmias are nutso! I am not doing so well and I am reading Buhners Healing Lyme and wanting to strata herbals. I don't see the advantages of antibiotics for me right now.

Oh okay. I hope you get well really soon, or find what works for you. One thing I have noticed is making my own bone broth sometimes seems to help my symptoms. I pray we all get healthy really soon.
