how does Lyme affect the pancreas?

Hi all-

Two months ago, I thought I had what was spleen pain (due to Babesia), had an ultrasound and everything checked out fine.

Recently, the pain is getting worse and now I realize the location is actually near my pancreas.  I believe that two months ago I now had a possible Pancreatitis attack and what I thought were hot flashes from a hormonal imbalance is actually my body getting feverish, dealing w/ the possible pancreatitis.  Any time I eat any saturated fat, the pain becomes severe and I get nauseous. I'm headed to a general practitioner today to figure out what is going on.

Now that I'm without an LLMD, I'm pretty scared.  Is Lyme disease known to cause pancreatitis? 

Any input or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have had pancreatitis chronic for a while and acute attacks that required hospitalization eventually surgery. Fatty foods can exacerbate pancreatitis, if it's right upper quadrant pain then I would think gallbladder. With that said you are seeing a dr. Have them run a lipase and amylase level. Let us know how it goes.

So I have the same exact problem as you. I get random attacks in the top middle to right area of my abdomen. It is a sharp, stabbing pain that’s caused my to faint multiple times. I’ve gone to the er several time and once my lipase was high for my pancreas but then it went back to normal. It seems certain levels are high when I get these random attacks. I have my gallbladder out so it’s not that. I’m not sure what’s going on and hope you can find answers. If you do, please let me know. Stay well!
