A friend from the BVT group said her LLMD IS cutting their practice, only taking the sickest of the sickest...wonder if there is more external pressure and/or fear.

Just picked up my 1st two hives today.

There are so many benefits from bees, as you have stated before you ate raw honey during your treatment with Herbals and I suppose you still do! Bees are amazing little creatures.

While one of those amazing little creatures stung me last week about an inch below my eye (YOUCH!) , I still agree and won't quit planting my garden with plenty of things for them!! Even if I don't use them as part of a treatment for these infections (fortunately, I'm healed), I most certainly recognize their role in providing all types of food and food stuff that help me!! I use raw honey and bee pollen to raise my immune system function as well!

Yes it was a she....the boys(drones) don't sting. And it's ok that you smashed her she would have died eventually after she stung so you put her out of her misery...in fact after they sting they are not allowed back into the hive.

Oh my, Bellyfull!! I bet you stripped fast!! LOL! I'm so glad you didn't get stung down there!!

Let's just say I have a VERY healthy respect for bees, because I'm definitely not afraid of them, it just hurts when they sting and I usually swell a ridiculous amount. The time before this that I got stung was on the back of my hand, down near where the fingers attach - and my whole arm, including my shoulder area swelled up so much that it was stiff, and that was with me being packed in ice all the way up my arm too plus a double dose of benadryl. But that was nothing compared to my brother, who would go into anaphylactic shock from one bee sting. So in my eyes, I got off easy. Snakes, and believe it or not, cock roaches are a lot bigger deal to me. Ew.

And Iheartx, I was so relieved when I realized he really was going to be okay! He said to me "I've seen first hand what living with chronic Lyme is like and I want NO part in it. If the abx don't work or aren't enough, I'm doing your herbs!!" - and he didn't even see me at my worst when I was bed bound and then completely house bound. Poor guy doesn't really have much trust in the herbs like I do, but was willing to "even use them" if need be!! LOL! (Sorry, all. I just find it really funny!)

When did you start?

Wow, you are giving me hope.

I'm on beta blockers, but I figure I won't take them on sting days.

How did you get your epi pen?

I can almost guarantee my doctor won't give me one.

I think I would have to proceed much more slowly than you though, since I herx so much.
