You've gotten good advice from everyone. The only thing that fixed our rages, depression, anxiety attacks (both K's and my own) was treatment for bartonella and MTHFR, hers was abx and then herbs, mine was herbs alone. We both use low doses of methylated B's. And 600 mg mag citrate through the day, with 300 mg of it before bed.
For a long time I dealt with suicidal ideation and anxiety attacks (I would cry if I had to go to the grocery store, and then get lost on the way there). I couldn't remember how to spell the word "apple" on my shopping list, or how to switch off the light in my bathroom. Buhner's bartonella herbs, with the addition of the babesia tincture CSA, and red root changed all that.
With rages, suicidal ideation and insomnia, I would switch my emphasis to bartonella treatment instead of lyme. We have been treating bartonella with low doses of herbs for 2 years now and have been in remission since adding CSA and red root to the protocol in Aug 2014. 10-14 days of abx isn't going to cut it.
Lovemychildren Mom - we used high doses of A-Bart for 1 year. 25 drops 3x daily. Which, along with abx, only got K to 80%. After weaning abx for herbs and stopping A-Bart while I initiatied herbs (it was causing herxing that was confounding the herbs) I reinitiated, and K got herxes again at 4 drops. It frankly did nothing for us except cause herxing. Perhaps this is because we didn't use any of the BW detox remedies (our LLMD didn't tell me about them), or perhaps because it just didn't work.
K was eventually clinically diagnosed with babesia because of the herxes caused by Buhner's babesia herbs. Perhaps if we had used A-Babs too, we might have seen improvement.
