price of mepron oral suspension

my son in new york is having a devil of a time getting any kind of discount for mepron. has anyone tried canada for this drug? his insurance company and cvs are giving him the run-around. i found a coupon for walgreens that brings the price down to the $700s. has anyone tried that? tnx.

brand name OR generic atovaquone. doesn't make a difference to me. i'll ask tim what his prescription says.

It's highly dependent on what type of insurance you have and what they will cover. Mine runs $400 a bottle for the generic and I take two bottles a month. This is what my maximum payment can be per the policy I'm on. I've heard of people having to pay a lot more, some a lot less.

I don't understand what you mean by "cooperation." It's not really the pharmacy's job to cooperate, that's for your doctors and insurance company to figure out.

Obamacare is the Affordable Care Act, it's not a type of insurance. Sorry, it just drives me crazy when people conflate the two.

He's seeing Dr. R, right? Did he ask their office to call the insurance company to say it's medically necessary? And they won't do it?

the insurance your son has has what they call a formulary. the formulary is what drugs are covered and what they charge for it. if the insurance provider won't pay then the next step is to have his doctor call them and push for the need for this medicine.
