I take the charcoal three hours after at night and three hours before in the morning. My doctor said that is enough time so I don't know really..
Girlie already confirmed this, but I'd like to say that this is good as well. I used activated charcoal throughout my whole treatment (both times), so if it really did pull the abx and herbs out of our system, I surely wouldn't have healed as quickly as I did. And it's value in helping to remove the toxins is tremendous.

also it seems like more people have success going the natural route vs antibiotics but how do you kill the bacteria if you go the natural route?
Herbs were used long before abx. It was herbs that all abx came from for a very long time. It's critical to know which herbs to use, but they can be highly effective. I am an abx failure. I used abx for a full year and only got more ill. It wasn't until I started using herbs, learned how to detox my body well, and how to keep my body functioning at a high level that I started to improve. 2.5 years later, I'm healed from 40 year old infections with Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, RMSF, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, and others.
While I realize herbs aren't for everyone, adding herbs in for your treatment and help in dealing with your symptoms will help keep you more comfortable and more functional during your treatments. There's a reason why back in 2007 when I started no one anywhere was using herbs at all (well, except Deejavu
), and now most members here use them, and a large percentage of others on other Lyme forums use herbs as well.
