Need proof that Lyme exists for Husband

I don't understand why he doesn't believe a positive test. The test is scentific.

I agree with the fear thing. So just ignore him....makes me sad.

His bible, The New York Times, did some article about Igenix being investigated in 2005, so that was that. I was googling up "NEW YORK TIMES LYME 2015" and there really isn't much being reported at all!!!

Need some article that the mainstream medical is starting to believe in late stage Lyme so i can email the links to him..

If he worked for a health magazine does he have access to the American Medical Association? I wonder if they have articles?

I don't have any links for you but I have a ton of empathy for you! My boyfriend has told me "You're making your symptoms up to get attention". And "you just don't want to carry your weight around here".

That was hard to take. Ultimately, it doesn't matter whether they believe us or not. We still have to keep working towards getting better.

It is not easy, but I need to try to not dwell on the meanness and focus on healing. I hope you can too.

I was having seizures and those that wished to not believe still didn't. So sad that even seizures aren't believed. They said it was being caused by something else. Those that wish to remain ignorant can't be made to change.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink (at least not without drowning him!).

While my husband believes me...there are times when he says things that hurt - like "You aren't an invalid" when I have a day that I am just lounging around because my body hurts bad.

But, then there are other days where it's completely the opposite - and he says "You are the strongest person I know...to go through all this"

So, I try to ignore the other comments. I think when he says those - he is just frustrated and wants our lives back.
Heck...when I'm feeling really bad...I sometimes think to myself "What if it's something else I have?"
I have a positive Igenex IgM - I should NOT be questioning it...but...now and then....I do. I think the protracted treatment is what triggers these negative thoughts about it. We jump through hoops to get better...and here we are...a year later...with some improvement (in my case)...but not enough to make me happy.

I read the Boundaries post (thx! for posting) and totally agree - just had to send a Boundaries text to my BFF (she oscillates from being supportive to critical)
