I have not seen this mentioned by others on the forum and I am trying to figure out if this is Lyme or my mold infection. I never eat breakfast because I will invariably throw it up. my morning meds raise my heart rate 10-25 points and I feel mildly nauseous. When I do eat my first meal of the day around noon, my heart rate goes up 15-30 points and I can usually only get a few bites down. Nausea again and my whole body begins to shake.
I have tried protein shakes and small meals of nuts or dried meat for protein but I need to feed my body properly. I crave raw vegetables, but chewing creates the worst symptoms. If I eat something soft or just drink broth it is not to bad, but not very nutritious.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks to all,
Ed

I take my herb tinctures and have lunch (soup) and I get nauseous. Sometimes it happens after dinner. I got a glass of water and added a spoonful of baking soda. Stir and chugged it. It made me burp like a man (sorry guys) and I felt wonderful.
I think my tummy was just having a bad day. Easy and non hurtful thing to try.

I get a racing heart beat, pounding in my brain, elbow creases, sides and throat after I eat or take certain supplements. I get nauseous too. It feels awful and I have to lie down until it passes.
I tend to get very panicky after it happens. I try to breathe deeply and stay calm but it's very, very hard when you feel like you're being attacked from the inside.
My doctor said it might be a histamine reaction but didn't offer any suggestions on what to do about
it.
I'm going to keep an eye on this thread to see if others have any ideas.

Elevated heart rate following eating can be caused by a number of things. Vagus nerve dysfunction for one, which can happen with Lyme.

Chapelle,
I am on so many meds it is hard to list them all. Taking Zythro, Nystatin, Plaquenil, A-L drops, Mc-Bar 2, A-Fng. I take Metoprolol for the heart 100mgs x2 a day.
I have been diagnosed with "Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia" And an "Autonomic Nervous System Disorder" No cure or med for the last. I have loads of neuro symptoms that I believe the majority if not all are from Lyme. My mold infection may be working synergistically with the Lyme to heighten these symptoms. As Mold and Lyme are so similar it is hard to figure out which is causing which symptoms.
I can deal with the elevated heart rate, but the nausea and the internal shaking is driving me CRAZY. I am really beginning to get depressed and wonder if I will ever get my life back. 1130 in the morning right now and I am already calling it a day.
Thanks Sarah for the suggestion about
the Vagus nerve; it is similar to what I have.
Thanks all for your insights and most of all for caring!

Hi Ed,
I made a post on here a while back because I was experiencing a very similar issue. I labeled it "allergic to everything". I found it happened with foods I had never had any trouble with and Diflucan. It even happened with a hypoallergenic protein powder I was using. It has made me scared to death to try any new foods or supplements. I would eat and within 5 to 10mins get tachycardia and terrible anxiety/panic attack. I miss food...I have developed a phobia of it now. I also have A MTHFR gene mutation and wonder if its part of a detox problem or just a stressed out immune system. I hope you are able to get an answer.
