hey traveler, thank you so much for chyming in -
that makes perfect sense, I was thinking the same thing that if diflucan was actually a cyst buster then I would have felt worse, not better - appreciate you clarifying that!!!
now it all kind of makes sense - I couldnt handle any typical cyst busters when i was treating lyme, such as GSE, and wouldnt go near flagyl or tindimax, but since i took diflucan for a good while, maybe diflucan did it's job as a cyst buster, bc i was worried about
getting lyme back if i didnt use one. I ended up getting a tremor in my hands from diflucan, and i thought it was a side effect, but now that this info surfaced, it must have been a herx!
lymepickle - we cant believe everything we read on the internet, i am sure there are articles saying that the sky is green and the grass is blue, LOL - you know what i mean - there are arguments for and against everything you can possibly think of.
However, you do have a point Lymepickle - i was wondering that too. could it be a possibility that while taking the diflucan, I am keeping the yeast at bay and therefore my immune system is then able to fight off the lyme - in other words, bc my candida got so bad, it flared up the lyme symptoms as you said - but i just dont feel sick anymore, there is a huge difference from when I had lyme to now. I don't think I would have been able to do the 40 mile bike tour if I still had active lyme - my goal this year is to do the long island 1/2 marathon, gonna start training in January!!!
Candida does indeed cause numbness. I had candida for years before lyme and didnt know it - that explains why I would get a numb toe now and again. If you research it carefully enough, numbness and tingling will surely be on the candida list!
oh, and traveler, I took the source naturals brand of D mannose, ordered it from amazon. It did its job well!!
