LongTimeLymie and Missteak3,
This is very interesting to read. I have not read about
Lymes being treated with an FMT before. I've been researching the Human Microbiome and Fecal Microbiome Transplants for around two years now. Already, the following diseases have been reversed using an FMT : Chronic Fatigue, Depression, Rheumatoid Arthritis, MS, Autism, Chron's, IBS, and of course C. Diff. Research is underway for other conditions as well. The human microbiome has also been linked to : Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Cancer, food allergies, Rosacea, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Diabetes, and more.
The top researchers in the world are both preparing their sample in a manner to limit exposure to air (almost all of the good bacteria in stool is anaerobic). So, using a blender is absolutely the wrong approach and potentially kills off many of the good bacteria you are trying to transplant.
One researcher uses an antibiotic for 5 days, then does a clean-out (like for a colonoscopy) and then the infusion. After that, infusions are done for 5 to 10 days. (no clean-out or antibiotics). Success has been high.
Further notes : good, helpful microbes are found on fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. Also, unsalted, and non roasted nuts and seeds and raw honey. These are all good sources of the good helpful microbes for our human microbiome, and be careful don't wash off all of those good little guys before you eat them.
