Oh Londolozi! I'm so sorry. It's hard to stay "up" when you get news like that. I feel the same way about
food, so don't feel bad! With a soy & MSG allergy, it can be frustrating, so I'm waiting for that food pill too.
Since you have started taking supplements to address your gene mutations, remember that will increase the amount of toxins moving through your system, so increasing ways to help your body move those toxins on out of your body would likely be helpful.
Do you drink at least 64 ounces of water a day? This will help the kidneys and liver flush those toxins out. Milk thistle will both help move toxins out of the liver and protect the liver from those toxins.
Dry skin brushing can help those toxins move out through the skin.
Alka Seltzer Gold will help with scavenging free radicals in your blood and will help replace some electrolytes.
Activated charcoal and other binders will bind to the toxins and makes it easier for the body to usher them out.
and of course there are so many other detoxing routines that will help without moving more toxins out of the tissues like, say, a Epsom salt/peroxide bath would do.
Also, know that it's okay to feel defeated once in a while - it surely doesn't mean that you are, but this is a long hard climb out of this illness. We are here for you to vent or to find kind and helpful words - without asking if you are still feeling lousy!
Oops, evidently, I was writing a post when you were, Londolozi!!
I don't know enough about
chelating metals, but it might be possible that by doing that, you have freed up something that now allows for more inflammation. Are you taking anything for inflammation? Are you on a low histamine diet?
If the inflammation or bloating is restricted to your abdomen, that could be one of several things - Candida, leaky gut, or just the need for increased or higher quality probiotics.
Just a few thoughts. i hope you can get something helpful from it!!
