Clogged ear feeling with azithromax?

Does anyone else feel like their ears are clogged or plugged? Kinda like when you're on a plane only they never pop. I know zithro can cause this and i am on it, but i also know some people complain of this with lyme and co-infections so i'm not sure how to know the difference. It is uncomfortable and only started since I've been on Azithro. My LLMD keeps saying to keep taking but I'm worried I am doing damage to my hearing.

I had clogged or plugged ears prior to my taking antibiotics. It was lyme for me and one of my first symptoms. I yawned a lot trying to unplug them. It was useless.

My continued treatment finally got rid of the full feeling.

It is annoying as heck.

It's a symptom of bartonella. I get it even though i'm not taking antibiotics but am on herbal treatment.

I've been on zithro for many months and never had the clogged ears issue. I'm lab positive for Lyme and Babesia.

Pretty sure it's not bartonella, it's babesia... Which explains why it flares/herxes on the azithro

If you've never had the symptom and you are now, then it's a herx. It's pretty common for symptoms to get a bit worse and for new symptoms to appear during treatment. There's no need to worry that it will affect your hearing.

I definitely had some hearing issues on zith. Also had those same issues on quinine. My ears would ring and I'd get the full feeling in my ears you speak of. The ringing drove me nuts and is what ultimately led to my switching to an herb only protocol. I feel so much better and haven't even considered antibiotics since I switched.
