I greatly value my fellow Lymies opinions on the subject, and I know that this question is asked all the time, probably due to the fact that many symptoms overlap, but I thought I'd get your opinions on this one.
The short version is that I'm currently treating for Lyme after being clinically testing possitive and failing the hospitals version of treatment. I contract Lyme relatively early before treatment (perhaps a month or so), and had pretty severe symptoms with a list a mile long.
After seeing an LLMD, he has me on two different antibiotics, and I also take Buhners LB protocal, full dosage, among a slew of other detox methods. All together I take probably two dosen pills a day. I've been on this regimen for maybe two months now. I understand that Lymes treatment can take a year or more, but this is where I'm confused. I've had little to no herx reaction, and little change in symptoms. Some of the alleviation of symtoms I think are due more to my own management (tons of rest, a gallon of water a day, detox, vitamins, magnesium suppliments, etc). Personally, whatever my treatment course is, I'm prepared to wait it out for as long as it takes. However, I'm concerned at this point that my racing/pounding heart is still occuring pretty much all the time, and am worried that if I don't get this figured out sooner than later I might be facing serious problems (enlarged heart, heart failure, etc...).
As the subject states, I'm wondering if this is a case of Bebesia. Lot's of things to consider here, such that it was during my origional treatment that I began to show heart issues. I caught Lymes pretty early. Also, I have no muscle/join soreness, which I believe is one of the most common symptoms of Lymes. For this reason, I'm starting to think beating Lymes was the easy part, and now I'm left with Bebesia.
Also, reading the forums, it sounds like a lot of people had heart issues that were resolved once on Bebesia treatment. I hate bugging everyone with paranoid questions, but when we talk about the heart, it can be a scary beast.
Love ya guys!
